Such great stuff ... Miss this great man. Glad at least we have recordings of his many lectures. Just wish the volume on these treasures could be heard louder so it was easier to hear on regular computer speakers ...

What a conversation it would be to have Terence McKenna and Manly Hall discuss drugs. I disagree in some regards to the opinion of Manly stated here. I've had great spiritual insight using Cannabis, Mushrooms, and Salvia. My experiences using these drugs actually led me to seek out his book "The Secret Teachings of All Ages." I am of the opinion too that mysticism of our past may have made use of hallucinogenic substances. What do you guys think? I think Manly has overly simplified drugs. I have of course witnessed drug abuse too, and understand where he comings from in regards to psychological and physical substance dependence.

Another thought: I know Manly had an affinity for Paracelsus, who was of the impression that beyond our perception existed "Elementals" - the spirits of nature. I would guess that when one is intoxicated with the aid of a psychedelic substance that one is indeed coming into contact with the intelligence of the elementals that Paracelsus discussed.

Jim Borchardt MPH knew there is no shortcuts to enlightenment. Not saying substances are bad or good. But once the short widows of enhancement closes. It may become a hindrance to the user if they try to keep them open. But don't tell me MPH didn't partake on his climbing the pyramid of knowledge.

Jim Borchardt there is proof that all great civilizations used halucinagenic drugs. defend discoveries have shown that Egyptians used opium marijuana and DMT. the scary thing is that all of the people using these drugs was worshipping the serpent.

Jim Borchardt Dear Mr. Borchardt, Thank you for sharing your information,.. Regarding paracelsus,.. Elementals and nature spirits. My journey is a long process,. I can be hyperactive at times,.. ADHD,. Has gave me the gift of seeing through the veil of illusion, Into nature's spiritual dimension.. Everything in creation has a spirit.. Every blade of grass, stones, mud,, the elements trees.. You name it It has spirit.. Intoxication,.. On the contrary, Drops the veil. And I'm blind once again... Residing within the nature spirit dimensions, feels like home to me.. Where I have been alienated.. I look forward to researching paracelsus... Im confused with ignorance at my miraculous gift.. I crave a true understanding,..of my new dimensions and being's. Namaste 🙏

Manly's endless wisdom!
@1112viggo9 жыл бұрын
lee p To be fair this is actually the wisdom of our ancient ancestors. Manley is not attributing with something new to society as such, he is merely reminding us of what we have forgotten. Thousands of years ago all this was fairly common knowledge, at least much more so than it is today.
@susanthornton43728 жыл бұрын
Not so. His wisdom is inherent. He opens up a channel to the higher spheres.
@freeskierjim7 жыл бұрын
I would think that the priestcraft and citizens of upstanding character had access to such knowledge in the ancient world. I doubt however that the general populace back then was thrown these pearls of wisdom. The initiate discovers by seeking. He is not handed wisdom without first exemplifying that he is ready to receive. So much like today's world, only small circles of people were given access to such wisdom, for they were the only ones who had ears attuned.
