I have been studying this guy's lectures in my spare time for about a year now. Love them. This man was/is amazing. A true luminary.

How does he link humility with discipline. Does he think...... Guess ill have to watch more.

@@lucidhooded4147 Humility in essence flows from a disciplined way of life. Once one does things he's either bound to do so blindly, or discover what he can't do, doesn't know, hasn't experienced and the reason for those.

53:15 It is perfectly possible for the individual to be humble, to be quiet and still be strong. He is not a door mat. He may not be willing to be involved in a argument. He may refrain and hold the right to keep his own counsel but this does not mean that he has no counsel. It means that he does not wish to waste energy and life fighting on issues which will never be clarified by conflict now or any other time.

47:27 Thus in learning Quietude is the most available means of discovering Truth. Quietude means a relaxed relationship between the individual and the source of further information. Quietude does not simply mean sitting still with your fist clenched, your Jaws tight just trying not to break in and correct everybody else's mistakes. Relaxation is this quietude by means of which we are not just interested in mistakes and were not quite so sure we could cure them all. Rather we would wait and see what we can find out from the depth of these other persons. Sometimes we learn what the other individual thinks by listening to him advise a third person. We discover much about him because we have seen him drawn upon. To find out what other people really have to offer we must draw upon those persons. We discover tremendous depths when others need us. We find that perhaps our advice and our understanding is fuller than we have ever suspected when someone else needs us. If however that other person comes begins to to us what they think, this experience of depth will never come in our selves

Unlike this wicked world, whoever wants to be the greatest among you must be your servant/slave. Cause in the kingdom of heaven the 1st becomes last and the last becomes 1st. Anyone who exalts themselves will be abased and anyone who humbles themselves will be exalted in due time. None of the wicked will understand, but the wise will understand. Only with your eyes will you see the the reward of the wicked. Blessed are the humble for you will inherit earth. Who has more power in a restaurant/store? The one being served or the one doing the serving? Just as the son of man came to serve and not to be served, thus, is the greatest of all. Blessed are the pure in heart for you will see God. If anyone does the Will of God you will know if I speak of this myself or it came from the one above. For the ones who have come to know the world have fallen into the body and for the ones who have fallen into the body the world is not worthy of them. For the ones who seek do not stop seeking till you find and when you find you will be disturbed/troubled, then you will marvel/be astonished/wonder, later you will reign/rule the all/entirety/universe, lastly, you will rest. Unlike man God does not look at outward appearances/statures (e.g. look, age, height, status, wealth, power..etc..) he looks at the heart. All the ways of a man is right in his own eyes, but God weighs the heart and looks at his motives. He pays back to everyone depending on what they have done, depending on their deeds. You reap what you sow! After many rebukes they will be destroyed without remedy. When justice is not quickly enacted on a crime committed people's heart tend to imagine to do evil. Do you think I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? Tell them I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, more so, that they turn away from their wicked ways and start doing what is good and right. Your last day will judge you. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. The righteous will shine brighter and brighter! The ones with clean hands will grow stronger and stronger! If the righteous gets paid back for everything they have done on earth, what do you think will happen to the ungodly/wicked and sinners? Anyone who longs for life and to see good days; have no evil spoken from the mouth, have no guile in the tongue, turn away from evil, do good, seek peace and pursue it. Consider others before yourself. Do to others what you want others do to you, for that sums up the laws of the prophets. Blessed are them that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver them in time of trouble. Giving to poor is loan to God and he will repay you. The ones who refreshes others will be refreshed themselves. When you give alms don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing then your father in heaven will reward you. Unlike the hypocrite who blows a trumpet to tell the world, they have already got their reward. When you give don't give with bitterness, God does not like bitter givers, give according to your heart how much you want to give. Remembering the more you sow the more you reap. Also, even if I give all I have and put my body to burn for others I am nothing if I have no love. Charity = unselfish/unrequited love! Guard your heart; for the issues/flows of life comes from it. We know that God doesn't to listen to sinners, but listens to the ones who worship and fear him. To fear God is to hate evil, pride, wicked ways and a froward mouth do I hate. Blessed are the ones who see and the ones who understand. God looks down from heaven to see if anyone seeks him, to see if anyone understands. Strive to enter through the strait gate, for many will try, but few will find it. Blessed are the ones who wait and watch outside the door of the Lord daily. Many wait outside, but it is the solitary who will enter. Blessed are the solitary and elect, for you will find the kingdom, since you were issued from it you will return to it. Wide is the gate that leads to destruction and many go thereof. Living like animals of instinct, their bellies are their gods. For the natural person do not accept the things that come from God and consider them foolishness, neither can he understand them cause it requires the spirit.
