It's only happened because of idiosyncratic JINNAH. He wanted partition. Because of him many people lost his life. Even DR. MANMOHAN SINGH's grandfather was killed in the partition. That's why his whole family came to India to save their lives.

@MrJojokhansaab No. They don't wanted the partition. You must have read that Jinnah died because of TB diesese. One british officer had said that if Jinnah had died before 1947 , then partition would have never happened. Jinnah orgnize DIRECT ACTION DAY on 16 aug 1946, which is also known as KOLKATA KILLINGS. In which all muslims murdered hindus and other communities because they wanted the partition of BENGAL, so they can make EAST PAKISTAN( BANGLADESH). Same thing happened in western part of INDIA, and partition happened only because of him.

Many people from both sides Left at that time due to fear, because of the environment specially in Punjab on both sides. My grand father use to tell me that he went to see off two Hindu families from our village to Lahore to reach india safely. Although there were no roits in our village but due to fear they had to flee.
