Todays song are meant to destroy marriages, divide families, values, morales, hate one another, divide genres... To destroy societies... I don't want you to believe me... But... just look around and tell me how many great singers, artists, have came out out of those tv shows american idol, etc... and tell me where are they? Why they are never given the chance to succeed?

My wife and I really enjoyed this song since it first came out. Married 40 years and more deeply in love than ever. This song is one of our over the road touring songs. We have 7 adult children and 5 grandchildren spread out around the US. Our primary residence is in Eastern Long Island. Our secondary is in Naples Fla. So, we also have a 2023 TIFFIN Allegro Touring BUS. It's so wonderful when we can schedule some touring time. It's such a nice time for us, as we love being together. We try to get to as many of the kids as possible on a tour. We also tow an enclosed car trailer, so we can take my wife's 2022 C8 Corvette on the journey! Just one of many toys in our garages. Nothing is going to stop us now! We are truly living the American Dream!!!

To be fair I just watched it tonight for the first time, and it isn't good. Some of it is absolutely terrible. It has the ham of the Police Academy movies but with even worse writing in some parts. The two leads made it worth watching, but those segments almost felt like another film. So much more could have been done with the story. Missed opportunity of making a potential classic.
@Yeti_Sign2 жыл бұрын
@@TheVanillatech Not gonna argue, as a clinical break down, the movie isn't good. The feels from it in the 80's was amazing. And I just always loved the way 80's writers just had this random fantasy back story for a modern rom-com.
@TheVanillatech2 жыл бұрын
@@Yeti_Sign Well, back then, writers were in charge of writing. Creative people were at the helm of productions. Musicians ran the music industry, actors and writers and directors ran the movie industry, etc. In the late 90's and early 2000's, pretty much all the creative industries were systematically bought out by a handful of corporations and businessmen, bankers, were put at the helm. Their only motive was profit. Creativity and originality is deemed "risky" to the bottom line. So you get the widest common appeal, safest textbook scripts, and remakes and re-writes of known profitable formula. Same thing happened to the Video Game industry the second it turned over a billion $ in a quarter. Welcome to WalMart World.
@accuresult11 ай бұрын
Kim Cattrall was so beautiful in this movie and her fashion and makeup style became very popular among women in 20s and 30s after the movie was released. The production team wasn't pleased to choose her because her age (31) seemed old for the 25 year old male character. But she acted amazingly, showing one of the most sexy, loverly & attractive characters in the 80s. Kim worked out and went on a diet to be as streamlined as possible to match the mannequins as closely as she could.

Could you explain your philosophy, X? I love this video, btw. Such great work, it really makes me feel the true meaning of love - a sense of dedication, a holy unbreakable bond between a man and his woman. "Take it through the good times, see it through the bad times. Whatever it takes it's what I'm gonna do". It saddens you to see people give up too easily nowadays.

@@thangtran145 The Philosophy of X is like the math function y=F(x) or why?=Philosophy(x). What is the X that you want to understand specifically? Men have the XY chromosomes and women have the XX chromosome. Men have the Y past down from father to son. The Y are you here, is the why you are here. You have the ultimate power to interpret reality as you see fit. If it were not for consciousness there would be nothing but an endless sea of unresolved probability. It is your consciousness that solidifies the ground under your feet. The deeper you go into understanding consciousness, the deeper you will understand reality. I like the Edgar Allan Poe explanation, we are dreams within dreams. Children still know how to dream, when they play pretend games it becomes indistinguishable from reality. The world has forgotten how to dream, we've become stuck in nightmare loops. We've given up our authority to seek the truth for ourselves and delegated that responsibility to others. We've become powerless to imaginary power structures of humans confusing possessions with value. I think there is a global shift in consciousness happening now. Listen to more old songs and you can visit a time when the global consciousness was not mired in despair and hopelessness. Instead of thinking, wow, I wish things were like that now. Believe that you can feel that way again now, all that is needed sometimes is to jazz up the oldies, a good remix. Take an old recipe and add some new spices. "Because you didn't come here to make the choice, you've already made it. You're here to try to understand WHY you made it. I thought you'd have figured that out by now." - The Oracle, Matrix Reloaded I do recommend Actualized.org youtube videos if you are trying to deep dive into the rabbit hole.

The amazing Jefferson Starship with lead vocals by the powerful voice of Grace Slick.❤️❤️❤️
@DaiAtlus793 жыл бұрын
they werent legally allowed to use the 'Jefferson' bit at this point - Paul Kantner left in 84 and took the 'Jefferson' with him, with only Slick remaining from the OG lineup of Jefferson Airplane Inc (Mickey Thomas wasnt an OG), with the parties settling out of court, with the agreement being that no one could use the 'Jefferson' or 'Airplane' names professionally unless all original members agreed, hence 'Starship' without the 'Jefferson'. In face, Slick later left the group and no 'Airplane' member remained, as Thomas came in during the 'Jefferson Starship' years.
