Mannix (Mike Connors) is being chased by a flunky in a '71 Roadrunner. What happens next is one of my all time favorite car chases. Total Vanishing Point 1997 vibes in this one.

I loved Mannix as a kid when my parents tuned in to watch it. It came on early enough before bedtime. He had a cool car in my mind back in the day.....wasn't it a hot version of a Dodge Dart ? I think it was a dark green GTS 340 or something. That's the car I remember him driving.

I used to watch this back in the day like 8-10yo while on summer vacation. Always loved the opening music and that handsome Cuda!

I had a 69' 383 RoadRunner. I later drove a 71 or 72 383 RoadRunner which was a little bigger and heavier and was surprised how well it handled. Felt it handled better and even just as quick if not quicker. Although my steering and suspension was getting sloppy in mine. The latter RR impressed me with its feel.

@@precinct1baltimorecountyre588 You mean B Body Chrysler products? I'd say closer to 80k miles on both A and B bodies. Fords and GM held up much better. My brother had a 65 Galaxie 500, great ride even at over 100k miles. All my father drove was GM, All Oldsmobile Luxury cars like 98s. Those cars never lost their rides.

Lucky. I could have had my friend's brother's '69 383 Road Runner (What a body!) 4 spd., but a soon as he started it, my Father just walked away with the $1,200. I was heartbroken. I got my Dad's '73 Pinto :( At least the Pinto was a stick and I gained a skill that is becoming rare these days!) Nice Video!
