Not mentioned here, but that first trick frontside smith to tail, Delfino didn't get her rail down on the coping on the second try. That should have been a letter. It was a frontside 5-0 to tail. Much different trick.

I'm thinking they didn't count it because she popped and fabi pivoted but they don't really make it clear. The one girl said "popped nollie" which is why I think that. Would be nice if the judges provide more info though.

Yea looking at it, Cocona didn’t pop nollie. She just popped. But the judges should have communicated that to her and gave her another try before making the ruling

@@greens294 Fabianas smith to tail wasnt really a smith either, Judges cant be lenient with one but not with the other. And the fact they gave her a redo for that roastbeef atempt makes them look very biased ngl.

Agree with lots of these comments. I think Cocona had her foot on the nose but mostly just popped off the tail. Pretty borderline. I think the judges didn't specify bc Cocona obviously knew it was nollie but just doesn't do her nollies in the same way. If she did, she just would have popped nollie no question about it or just pivoted like Fabi. No need to call them out and say do it nollie when she knows and is trying. That's my thoughts

Other than that bad call on Hiraki, this was a good game. This is the match up I have been waiting for. When it comes to all the contest skaters Cocona is my favorite. When it comes to street skater Fabi is my fav. Worlds collided in this match and I am satisfied. Would have loved to have seen these 2 face off in the finals and maybe if the brackets were different they could have. This match was a clash of titans

Great game but can't agree with the judging there, I think it's quite unfair that Cocona got a letter on the 'nollie' back lip revert or whatever it's called! Need better comms from the judges, I don't think she fully understood the trick judging from her facial expression 🤔and that she is popping into it from regular stance rather than pivoting from nollie.

i think back disaster and nollie bs halfcab are different tricks, Coco cant do a halfcab rock to fakie on defense for the Fabi's sw front disaster, and vice versa

Fabi's trick was a nose pivot disaster, Cocona's was a nollie back disaster. She didn't do the trick that was set. You've gotta slow it down and zoom in a little, but she didn't do the trick that was set.
