Notice how the horse immediately honed in on the jerking movements of the disabled man?? It was in that split second the horse understood the man and his abilities and saw him as a gentle person and no threat whatsoever. We severely underestimate the intelligence of our fellow creatures.💞🇬🇧

I wouldnt trust every horse with every child. But a horse I had was over reactive to lots of things. Not frightened or abused. Just a drama queen. But if there kids in her paddock she was totally the reverse. Quiet tolerant patient. They know.

The tourists are allowed to "touch" the horses, within reason, and if they overstep the mark as happens very, very occasionally, then the riders are allowed to give them an appropriate warning - some do quietly, some less so. If you don't agree, write to the MoD but bear in mind that for over 99% of the time every day there isn't even any clickbait. It's a problem manufactured by KZbinrs to get hits and monetise something out of nothing.

These horses and their Soldier partner are brilliant, I'm particularly impressed with this section of armed guards. These horses appear very inquisitive to their surroundings the going ons of these people and not upset even with the cheek of the overcrowding. Majority of people are respectful. They go up they get the picture, they stroke the horse and they move on... Then we've the asshats that move in and shove themselves in for the picture in front of others or don't have respect to read the horses language and rudely have no respect for others never mind the soldier and horse on duty. These Cleveland bays are exceptional in behaviour. If they didn't like this from tourists they would prevent them. Gives the horses something to watch all these tourists, probably less boring than no one there at all.

Practice. British armed forces are trained in all weather conditions. Soldiers are often sent on very long arduous runs in full combat gear carrying up to 50lbs in their backpacks. So it’s no surprise really that they cope in uniform on hot days. However it’s not unusual for some soldiers to succumb to excessive heat exhaustion in the summer months.

Beautiful horses 🐎 but must be so hot for both of them, there saddles don't look as comfy as the household guards

Who do the king's guards put up with the tourist's constant patting and touching the horse's. It must be very stressful for the horse's and for the guards. Why don't they put a stop to it.

Love hearing the horse sound off at the tourists while keeping an eye on them! That sure helps keep them away. 🤗

So many hands all on that poor horse at once. It’s like their divine rate to push and shove one another as well.

Is the horse calling for the female soldier? He/she quieted down when the female soldier came over.

Why did the horses and uniforms change? Do they change when there is a new king/queen?
@Roheryn100

Of course not ! The Queen died last September. This is the King’s Troop; they relieve the Household Cavalry for summer holidays.

No. The other horses are given a well deserved rest, they are at a beach playing in the sea, and galloping freely around paddocks. Well looked after.❤
