Imagine him playing cricket today, bowling allrounder who opened the bowling, batted at any position. Though he was not the fittest cricketer nor was he disciplined but the value he brought was incomparable. Even today India sweats over Pandya and Shardul Thakur. Prabhakar was doing it in 80's and 90's. Different circumstances he could have had a brilliant career. Nevertheless what a character he was.

He truly was so underrated.....a real fighter who took aggression to his opponents whenever opportunity arose....a real class swing bowler, was brilliant in Australia taking Boon and Marsh in so many occasions but was quite unfortunate as many of his LBW decisions went against him....wish he had all those modern technology back then.....gutsy batsman and a genuine allrounder by all means......was ahead of his time by all means

Important questions were never asked: 1) With no proof how come he accused Kapil Dev for match fixing? 2) Why did he batted so slowly against West Indies in 1994 ODI, just to score his selfish 100. He never tried to win that game 3) He never objected to BCCI’s decision of placing a ban on his cricket career due to fixing. Why?

Actually main objective of Indian management was to let west indies win to ensure knockout new zealand out of final, so india can meet west indies in final. While Kapil was not saint, he ensure India vs new zealand match to be draw. They saw huge money after liberalization as never before. But Prabhakar was corrupt but his problem was no buddy of his fixings company came to save him.

Factually incorrect. I have seen that match live. Manoj was playing fast to win the match but once his fellow player got out and Mongiya came to bat the scoring rate was suddenly dropped astonishingly. Manoj completed his century but didn't even raise his batch to celebrate his feat. What message Mongia brought in is still a mistery but those who were watching the match know who is the culprit. So don't rant based on what got published in the media, sponsored by BCCI for their Stooges.

He would have been a superstar even in today's T20 generation! His white-ball swing bowling along with variations were top-class even back then, and he was a successful cricketer in his time. He also has coached many aspiring Asian teams since then. Those who think he was just a fixer don't know anything about cricket; they forget that even their pyaare Dhoni, Kohli, Ravi Jadeja, Rohit have all done similar things throughout their career, but have backing of BCCI and ruling government and that's why nothing has happened to them, yet.
