Today, we're continuing a multi-video journey on which we will be building historically accurate and authentic city designs in Manor lords, a highly anticipated city-building game! I will explain how the game works as I play and explain some historical details as we go!

Manor Lords is a strategy game that allows you to experience the life of a medieval lord. Grow your starting village into a bustling city, manage resources and production chains, and expand your lands through conquest.
Inspired by the art and architecture of late 14th century Franconia, Manor Lords prioritizes historical accuracy wherever possible, using it to inform gameplay mechanics and visuals alike. Common medieval tropes are avoided in favor of historical accuracy, in order to make the world feel more authentic, colorful, and believable.

You should have the foresters plant trees all around the isolated farms right on the border between Eisenkirchen and Sitte, so that it truly is an isolated farming community in the wilderness. And then the forest in Sitte and Eisenkirchen would connect to each other too.

Let's hope we get stone wall and castle or maybe a moat for proper fortification in future updates. The most pressing thing I want is the ability to upgrade building like tavern so they fit with other high level houses

Stone walls and towers and a stone Manor upgrade are all in the plans. Last I heard moats will not be though as terrain deforming is problematic. Otherwise, earthworks would be amazing to have (it is possible this has changed since the last I heard). I would also hope that we get proper palisades soon to replace the fence around the castle.

I really hope the game expands, with many updates, full of contents, tweaks and scenarios. And then even bigger things with DLC. Specially so that we can watch OPB play through them

It would be cool if you could upgrade the house to max and choose the aesthetic of the house so it looks level 1 but functions as max level

It's not the miller. The threshing gets done in the farm even if you have no windmill constructed yet.

Linen is not part of your clothing needs at level 2 houses, but shoes, coats and so on

You need to use the option only export to friendly regions to send it to your regions otherwise they will sell it anywhere.

Just a note for those who may not be aware, if you use a mod to change your lord's appearance then Steam Achievements will be disabled. This is the same for all games for obvious reasons.

All buildings need to be upgradeable, hate having nice houses but twig industries, many more structures needed, trading between regions needs to be straight forward, you shouldnt have to start from scratch on another region and should be able to mix regions, deposits shouldnt just run out on you, many people want to play long term thats what keeps them coming back; to make huge cities that work like beehives and wage cool wars and these are some of the best game battles ive ever experienced. Id also like to have a defenses tab and walls and all that in there, I can imagine catapults, trebuchets, rams, all that and the ability to travel with your army to another map and attack enemy cities/castles. Long term is key you cant avoid the fact people want to build BIG and the way im imagining this game it could be huge, it reminds me of Stronghold 2 a game i played as a kid that i loved. I understand its in development so im extremely excited for its future and im enjoying it as is, im just thinking of ways to make it more epic and playable long term. Oh and archers need buffed they barely do anything lol

Love your videos! I happen to find the battles in this game to be pretty entertaining so it’d be great if you could show some more and not fight everything off-screen. Some of the small bandit skirmishes I get it,but I’d love if you could still leave in some of the bigger engagements! Keep up the great work !!!

why dont you make assistance roads for the farms and make them more random like or spherical. or were square farms more historical

Very much more historical! Personally, I like to throw in some weird shapes, but in general the tended to be square as that made it easier to work and divide them between the local population!

@@OneProudBavarian ah i see, you could also create a more spherical shape with the roads and then subdivide that circle into perpendicular rectangles. But if thats how it looked like historically makes sense

What if you update to the new patch but have the King's tax set to off seeing as it's quiet unbalanced anyways. This is how I've been playing the game but haven't tried changing setting mid play through, don't know if it's possible.
