2025 is shaping up to be a big year for Manor Lords. As bug fixes, polishing & optimizing the game has been the big focus this year and now with brand new maps coming in the next update I think it's safe to say we are now moving into a new phase of content updates with new mechanics, new features new everything!

Commerce and interactions with AI players, politics, religion, knowledge progression, culture, and entertainment buildings. More animals, more types of crops, military experiences, and roles. New maps, hopefully bigger, with provinces and different kingdoms. It would be great if each new game featured a unique historical context. I don’t know, there are infinite possibilities right now and I’m really excited about them.

Now that rivers are in I hope waterwheels/mills become available probably as an industry tech. Maybe aqueducts eventually as a deep tech since some were built in europe during medieval times but very few.

What bothers me right now is the "Manor" in which you, the manor Lord rule from, is a smaller building than a lvl 3 Burgage

i love manor lords and i really do hope AI and other cities are the focus for 2025. BUT that being said in 2026 the next next thing i would LOVE to see is co-op make it so my friend can have a region that he can work on and i can have my region that i can work on, and have it so we can trade between each other. if we get AI and then Co-op this is legit the best city builder/command and conquer game i would have ever played.

I wanna see a game mode where there are like 1-3 a.i lords and a endgame crisis situation where war is declared and you have an enemy kingdom marching towards yours and your lands just so happen to be near the border. So you a few years to prepare for an incoming army the size sweeping through the lands like the cumans from kingdom come deliverance. And you either win or your entire zone's cities get ransacked and burned down. And the a.is actually help instead of being dumb.

The game needs ai building and castle building. Once the game has those things it will be very replayable and the devs can focus on bugs, mechanics improvements and PC performance. Personally I think the Dev might need assistance as the game probably needs 4 major areas of production eg. Armies, Ai, economy, and art/assets.

I think progression is gonna be their focus in 2025 like you said there’s a hard stop and a lot of people stop playing because there’s not much else to do giving people more to play. I think will be their focus rather than AI.

It’s Byzantine the Byzantine was the eastern part of the Roman Empire that survived Tho they were the heir of the Roman Empire they weren’t connected to them tho especially since the pope in Rome did not accept them and allow their city of Constantinople to be sack every time during a crusade they were considered no different then the pagans themselves once Again Byzantine =Rome Rome does not = Byzantine Byzantine is the successor state of Rome or the eastern half

I am worried about all the user requested features making the game too complicated and inaccessible. Need to take care it does not become a bloated soulless mess. I am not sure what there is to improve an emotive connection to my village/ villagers to even care to keep playing.

Been following Manor Lords since it was first announced. I had assumed I'd get it after 12 months of early access but not ready yet. It needs larger maps, ai opponents, more units like cav and more buildings and functions unlocked. To be honest I have been a little disappointed at the pace of development. I'm hoping the devs are keeping a huge update secret and some time soon a huge feature rich update will drop but I doubt it. My guess is it will be feature rich enough to be a fleshed out game early 2026 so another year.

Imagine if this is a game where you are playing just a small part of a continent. Then there are a lot more lords building their towns or cities or whatever. Events like rebellion against the king or having invaders from foreign continent. Then there are individuals which you can assign roles like to have boosts in your settlements. Having port settlements for better trading. And since your settlement will eventually be big, there will also be thieves that will walk among your people so you need to have patrols around. Training grounds for retinue because I don't think they should be inside the manor all the time but at least they are free. So many more that I can think but I know it will just be a dream of mine to have such game because it might break a lot of pc if such a large scale game existed

I dont think Greg will create a coastal or islands map for Manor Lords as it's implied that the game is inspired by and takes place in 14th century franconia which is a landlocked region of southern Germany, But I guess with mods it might be a possibility.

More customizable units...corn maybe potatoes using honey to make Alkohol....sheep giving meat....all resources in one map possibility ....bigger regions more space to build...being able to move kings road....choosing what resources u want ...brother I reroled yesterday like 37 times by the time I got what I need I didn't want to play anymore haha

I've been waiting for a new game like the old Knights and merchants game and I hope this is going to be it. What I do hope is that get a game mode that doesn't include provinces. It feels a bit weird. Just one big map with an AI opponent would be cool where you only have to build one big city.

i bought the game on first day release and played few hours but what it was lacking is other AI players and cities, it gets boring once u defeat the enemy. still its best city builder game ever , hope they add some other AI cities so we can enjoy and compete with them.

Much comprehensive production line or chain, more crops, more animals, regions shouldn't be restricted one shape infact it should change gradually as we capture more regions by deploying our armies or watch tower or tower to conquer and hold the captured region which should also reflect the same in diplomacy map which currently provides us map divided into 6 regions. Cavalry, constructing bridges, irrigation, policies, diplomacy, more resources, ui tool to increase or decrease the efficiency just like stronghold, more comprehensive usage of religion, etc

I'm having problems with my logistics I have 10 oxes in a town of around 220 people and all my industry buildings are near my granaries and storehouses and my farms have their own granaries and storehouses but my stuff isn't getting transported to them

I still feel like combat is too easy, i thought we were supposed to cherish our villagers lives. Hopefully with cavalry, the cost of losing horses that we have to order in, or hopefully raise, will make us feel like we need to have careful combat strategy. We have 4 different types of melee infantry with nothing to distinguish them. At least make hammers good against heavy infantry, halberds good against spears, spears good cavalry, and axes average all around (or you know swords). There should also be a bigger difference between crossbows and archers, making one better against armored retinue vs unarmoured peasant infantry. Finally, make the enemy armies larger and more competent. Events like fighting against the kings army or a peasant revolt, or pushing back the mongol horde or the french or something idk could make a large feel like a necessity with a huge upkeep cost that would drive us to fuel an even greater economy with specialized blacksmiths.

Manor Lords is a great game but since the last update it broke it. As it currently stands its unplayable I have 316 hours played and my games crashes constantly followed by a Unreal Engine error message. Sorry but I don't agree with you about its current state. Hopefully the next update will resolve this problem despite being a Early Development game expectations need to be kept realistic. I hope that in future Manor Lords does not become a cheap imitation of Total War.
