@alfredoeduardo1974 De-activating the inking unit refers to our ability to “dis-engage” or “turn-off” the inking unit. In doing so we stop all ink rollers in the selected unit from turning. This eliminates the need for roller lubricant and additional roller wash ups. This can significantly increase roller life as well.

You mind if ask: What exactly do you mean by de-activating inking units?

When the press is stopped suddenly due to emergency stop, the plate usually remains in contact with the ink rollers. This causes ink blot on plate. When press resumes, the images initially remain dark and patchy for a few runs. De activation reversers the ink rollers direction and the ink doesn't deposit on plate or no blotting, whatsoever.
