Hi from Scotland. Thank you so much for this fab tutorial which I just loved. The photography is brilliant and it's great that the photographer got so close to the sewing machine which shows the detail close up. I have wanted to make a bow tie for my husband so his bow tie can match the colour of my dress when we go on to our cruise. Thank you again. Kind regards.

7 1/2 x 12 Standard Size for bow part was too large for 4 year old. I cut mock sizes with paper. 10 x 6 1/2 worked for me. I watched 10+ tutorials on making bow ties. This one was the best! What a difference the fusible interfacing made! Professional results! Thank you!

I'm currently working on an Edwardian-inspired ensemble. I've made a hat, shirt, and waistcoat. I have a whole bunch of this beautiful purple satin left over from the waistcoat, and I think it would make a wonderful bow tie for this ensemble. I think I'll try following this tutorial for it and see how it goes.

Wonderful tutorial! I followed your instructions and mine turned out perfectly! Thank you! ONLY ISSUE- when I sewed, the fusible webbing began to get sticky and “gum up” on my needle. I’ve used Wonder Under before - and fusible interfacing - and never had this problem before. Any suggestions?
@jaR123444 жыл бұрын
Do you think it would be ok if I made the bow ties without the interfacing? I don’t have any way to get some right now and I’m not sure if it will affect the projects outcome.
