@@Graelcase Exactly, I feel like the regular people have kinda been forgotten. I appreciate that the two of you see some sense in Percy's thing about not killing a giant with an adder in your boot, because very few people seem to see it that way, having watched a LOT of reactions xD I feel that ESPECIALLY with how little Raishan has actually done to help them in the show, now that working with her isn't even saving Whitestone, there's no real reason to keep trying/pretending to trust Raishan or do things her way and in her timeframe. Especially making that call in the smoking rubble of Whitestone- just like Ripley out there is a risk of being undercut, Raishan as an 'ally' is clearly a risk of not being told the whole story/pertinent advice if it's inconvenient for her or perhaps even a risk of being sacrificed in her plans to get revenge or save herself if you don't believe her when she says there is no cure.
@eastersliceАй бұрын
I'm very torn. I don't think Raishan is completely trustworthy, but I also think she's right about Thordak being the larger, more immediate threat. At this point, Vox Machina has no idea where Ripley is, or if they do, it would have to be "somewhere around Thordak," since she tipped him off. But if she could travel from Ank'Harel to Emon in a couple days, she could be pretty much anywhere in Exandria. In the meantime, Thordak, along with that brood, can do much more damage than Ripley can. I don't think any of them, Vox Machina or Raishan, is thinking clearly.
@rogue7723Ай бұрын
Good point, but what’s stopping Raishan from _killing Vox Machina_ and taking over Exandria once Thoreau is dead?
@neintales1224Ай бұрын
@@rogue7723 Nothing, if that is what she decides she wants to do- and that goes for whether they'd stayed allied with her or not. Green dragons aren't like devils, they aren't magically bound to not fully lie or play by rules within loopholes. We don't know that Raishan would break her word or that she's lied her full face off to VM, but we don't know she wouldn't and do know she's not given them all the intelligence or truth. We know she doesn't like or care about VM, just what they can do for her. And while I don't read her as interested in ruling the world, myself, so don't think that would be the scenario as such to worry about, I still think that it's perfectly reasonable to not want to try working with someone so dubious, and that what happened to Whitestone with her choosing to not lift a talon was a valid sign that what her alliance brought to the table wasn't worthwhile.

It's both a huge change and kinda not that huge honestly. In the Campaign its Fort Daxio that gets razed in a major Conclave assault around this point, but the audience and characters have no connection to that place in the animated show as a result of streamlining the narrative so changing it to be Whitestone getting hit instead makes a lot of sense. It can also set the stage for adding any redesigns to the city in the show should they choose.
@davidbergfors6820Ай бұрын
Huh. I didn't think of that. however, the huge change still stands because daxio wasn't razed bu Thordaks spawn
@eastersliceАй бұрын
I agree, although I didn't think there was much emotional connection in the game, either. But, wow. Whitestone is a real gut-punch. The only tiny bright spot was that the town was already fighting back when Vox Machina arrived. Redesign, hmm? I would predict Percy advocating strongly for better defenses.

The changes from table to screen have been good I am concerned two Scanlan stories (really, one angle and one storyline) might be abandoned: - Scanlan’s favor. He appears to have cashed it in to borrow the broom in Ankharel. At the table, it’s paid off in a more….colorful way. - A Bard’s Lament. One of the best live play moments because of the wild swings in emotions. Oscar worthy.

As someone who loves their campaigns, I dont mind the changes they are making at all. First it would be a near impossible task to do a one to one, but also its being adapted by the people who have created every aspect of this world so I know its in good hands. Also changing some things to the story gives people who do know something fresh and new. The general story and spirit will probably stay the same, and there are plenty of easter eggs and campaign scenes in here. I loved the first two seasons, but I really love this season so far!

Caleb spends an hour describing his tower, which is similar to Scanlan's mansion. My theory about the next episodes: (SPOILERS for campaign 1) 7 - Returning to Marquet to meet with J'Mon Sa Ord and try to find Ripley. And Scanlan/Kaylee 8 - Going to the Earth Asharii for Keyleth to get her Earth powers, and the staff vestige. Either Ripley will be there and escape with the vestige, or they get it just before her. Either way, that leads into 9 - Glintshore. IYKYK. The last one was pure speculation. This one, I'm 100% sure. 10 - Whitestone for Glintshore's aftermath, and gathering forces. 11 - Thordak part 1 12 - Thordak part 2 The Thordak fight can go one of two ways. Based on what Raishan said, I'm betting the first is more likely. That being that Raishan will fight alongside Thordak, and they combine the two fights into one. Based on that, I'm thinking the season ends with the words "Fix Him!". Option two, which I think is less likely, is the season ends with Raishan escaping. That means we fight her next season, and "Bard's Lament" happens in episode 3.
