Mansun are without a doubt one of the most underestimated bands of the 90s, along with Vast, such a shame neither of them got the recognition they truely deserved.

I love that all the Mansun fans here are still clearly so into the band, as much as ever, despite the fact that they've been pretty much written out of history by the mainstream and the media. keep the faith guys.

This should have been the final song of "Six". Pretty damn special. Never knew there was a video so chuffed to bits to find it! Paul has the second greatest voice on the planet (only supassed by Neil Hannon, but that's just my opinion). His range is superb, every word and note he sings is so crisp and clean and clear and just so f*cking brilliant! Oh please to god come back lads!

waaaaaaaat??? leave your house now and don't come home until you own a copy of Six. When you do come home with said copy of Six, put it on repeat for the remainder of your whole day and don't leave the house. You'll know why after you've done it. Six - simply the best album by anyone ever, period.

I saw Mansun at Reading 99 and I still talk about it till this day! Honestly, Paul Draper's voice is probably the best I've ever heard and Chad's guitar playing was so perfect and effortless I was stunned! I ended up afterwards sitting in my tent wondering what the f**k just happened! These guys will always be amazing.

ah 1998. What a year, I went on a round the world trip. Six by Mansun is an AMAZING album, in my all-time top 10. I never tire of listening to it. Their label wanted them to sound more like a soft rock band and didn't want a repeat of the "commercial suicide" that was their second album "Six". Even though "Legacy" the lead single of that album is their highest charting single. Apparently Chad tried to get rid of Draper after their third album and wanted to sound more like the Seahorses. Draper obviously wasn't a fan of this and it caused a lot of tension in the band. Recordings for their 4th album weren't fun at all it all and it all just manifested in 2003 when they disbanded.
