Destroyer_Bravo I did the math and it scales to about a skyscraper height as it's diameter. So yea. A small town could live in that model.

You should consider adding some highlights to edges of panels on airbrushed models, it easily takes them to a higher level and is pretty quick

Just seen these things cost close to 2000 bucks. Time to pull out Blender and design my own .stl file to print. No way you get 2k for a hunk of plastic.

That is true. A bit heavy, it is. But maybe it could be used on a football field, as a normal game piece. A football field because you almost need that large a space, just to set-up, (if you're using one or more of these fellas)! I am reminded of the life-sized chess game they had on one episode of "The Prisoner." A bit of fun that was! Hhhmmm, now you got me thinking of the LARP possibilities...

OK, here's the idea, rc (radio control flight mechanism) those manta babies! Have a "day out" to the local athletic field! Everyone brings their own mantas, painted to their own preferred color scheme! Play it as a "last man or woman flying" competition! That would be awesome! rrRRREEEEeeeaaaaAAAAARRRRREEEOOooooooOOORRRRRRrrrrrrr!!!!!!1111

The problem is that everyone would have to make it out of balsa and foam (as the resin one is too heavy to fly with anything short of a motorcycle two stroke) and it's not designed to work with real world physics. On the other hand, it would be fun to watch a bunch of these fly around crashing into each other.

I agree, but I suppose it's just too daunting to get into fine detail with a model that big. If I did it myself, It would easily take me years to paint it to the level of detail the rest of my army is at. I imagine when painting a large scale model like this, you try to go for that "looks good from 6 feet away" quality. Ultimately the models that are sitting inside will never be used for battle, just to occasionally pop the top and go "cool". I agree on the the white lines though... a bit fuzzy.

swear that the last tank's barrel was bent so i had to go back to look at it just to find out there wasn't a barrel it was the nose of the tank

you mean CSM gets a GIANT HELL TURKEY!!! 3 heads all with baleflamers and like a dozen wings or so....dear god the amount of detail painting that would imply....Tyranids have a Almost equiv with the Harridan(sp?) that's a giant model itself too. SMs could prolly get an emperor titan ofc, or to stick with the "air theme" maybe like a giant space battle ship with exterminatus cannons and shit...

No he is being completely serious. To rescape resin and to put this thing together is bloody ridiculous! 2 armies to correct. A lot of gaps and holes in the model, and, yeah it's just crazy. RPP 960 pounds for the model itself. I would not wanna attempt putting this thing together.
