Mantas and Mermaids - Snorkelling Nusa Penida

Join me as I explore some of the underwater scapes of these amazing little islands. We start with the mangroves, located on the northern side of Nusa Lembongan. We then cruise past Nusa Ceningan on our way to Crystal Bay on the south west corner of Nusa Penida, and lastly Manta Bay on southern Nusa Penida.
An absolutely stunning way to spend the morning, and at 200kIDR per person, which include all snorkel gear, pretty damn good value to.

im staying on nusa lembongan but wanted to go to nusa pendia for a day to go to manta ray did u know how long this trip was ? like what time it started until what time it ended

I did nusa penida and the snorkel tour on two different days, and I think you should do that as well. Manta Bay cant be accessed by land there at all, so you need to go by boat. Just go to the Lembongan 'harbour', theres a tourist info place there, tell them you wanna do a snorkel tour and they'll hook you up. I think they picked me up at 7:30, and dropped me back on the beach in front of my resort by 1pm and we swam at 5 locations in total, 2 of which we were swimming with the mantas. I hope this helps! I paid via my accommodation just to keep things simple, so there's no need to take wallet/ money. Only take the essentials for that tour, camera, towel, maybe spare clothing, that's it.

What is generally the best month to go see the mantas?

The Indo wet season can be pretty hit and miss for good conditions with frequent storms and wind not being good for snorkelling. However, when weather is nice and winds are light in the dry season, there can also be big swells out from the Indian Ocean, so May would be my best bet, but you'll want to give a week or more window to pick the best day to go.

Nah the mantas go to this spot regularly, from what I've been told, its rare to not see them here.

I can't recall the exact name, but theres a stack of them around, if your accomodation can't recommend any then just head down to 'harbour' and you'll find most of the tour operators there. Thanks for watching! 😊

Only 200k for all of this? Is this normal price? Because i found cheapest price in google is like Rp 450k for snorkel.

Like I mentioned, I booked through my accom, so they may have had special deals which Google won't find. Best bet if you have a few days to spare is book it when you get there
