Manti is such a freakin force. He transcends football. I hate wat happened to him but they say that God gives the biggest battles to the biggest warrior. Watching this almost made me cry.

It did make me cry. Manti is a true warrior and champion in the hearts of many, including me. He was so close to winning a National Championship and Heisman Trophy. About as close as you can get. Imagine a Linebacker winning the Heisman, what an accomplishment that would have been. And then dealing with that bs for just being kind and generous and a bit naive I suppose. I know, it was more than a bit...
@sevculham32462 жыл бұрын
Religion plays a big part in being so kind that people take advantage. But yeah he was really naive. Months of not meeting the person especially being so famous. I guess it just proves it can happen to even the best of us.

What a guy! This guy thinks on reflection he only wanted to be inspiration to young kids dreaming of making it in the sports arena. Obviously someone else had a greater plan for his life - he's not just an inspiration to young kids - hes is an inspiration to anyone that has trusted someone and been betrayed. The hardest thing to do is forgive yourself. This guy is the best thing to have ever come out of Notre Dame - you should be very proud. This story should be a lesson to everyone that you shouldn’t believe everything you hear or read. Even if you want to believe it, it doesn’t make it true. Learn to be fair. Be the fair person you want to be. Don’t just talk the talk. I was also once on the receiving end of a hard core manipulator who tried to ruin my reputation. No one believed me because it wasn’t convenient for them. I’m happy for Mantai that he got some resolve from the situation. I didn’t. Still haven’t. But I can live vicariously through him. Lol.

A great football player and leader. As a former resident of Hawaii, a decades long fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Chicago Bears, I was hoping that Mant'i would stick with the Bears after he got his first start from the practice squad to the 54 man roster. But the Bears front office was a disaster and did not renew his contract. He would have laid it out for the Bears. Best of luck to him and his family!
