As much as I love Percy Faith's orchestra in the original, which is my favorite rendition of this beautiful song, this Montavani version which starts out solemn and then bursts open with eventual reawakening and joyous celebration is sensational. A most beautiful interpretation of a classic song.

I think I have heard nearly all versions. Henry Mancini's is a close second to Percy Faith's but the later is as close to musical perfection as one can get. Astoundingly beautiful. If many of the classical composers heard this they would probably given well deserved accolades. How fortunate we are to have these wonderful compositions
