FINALLY, someone who gives supply list, explains build inside & out. Plus explains how to set up bailing twine cleats, then shows how to bale the hay. THANK YOU!

This is how you explain to people. The rest that watched just do the work without really explaining. Thumbs up Mr. Good Job!

Thanks for your video. I appreciate you going through this step by step. Others often race through the process.

Change the design of the horizontal compression board (plate) where it connects to the vertical lever board using a single carriage bolt so that it swings (pivots) level with the bale your making. This will eliminate the work of clearing the back wall and to get the compressor board level when you first swing the lever up over the top to start the downward thrust.

I know I’m late to the party, but maybe you could use a gravel tamper to press the hay after filling it just to get it moved down instead of setting up the lever each time, then use the level before putting the final bit of hay in there. Would probably save some time.

Splayed out flat 'funnel' pieces on 3 sides on the top might make stuffing the hay in easier.

Be sure to use structural screws as they are made to withstand the shear pressure. Drywall and normal screws are too brittle. They are made to hold things down not holding things together.

Neighbor wants a path made to an old family falling down log cabin. I'm going to need this so I feed my chickens & rabbits this winter. My mower deck refusing to attach to the tractor. My plans are to scythe it then bale it like this

You could have connected two wheel the backside of the baler, for moving it anywhere you want. wheel will sit on the ground when you bend the baler backside then the wheel will touch the ground for moving it.

I wonder if that bale is strong enough to build a wall for a house?

too bad you released pressure before you tied off. had you recompressed before you tied off you would have gotten a much better bale
