I have a 2016 XSE V6. I swapped the single piston calipers for the highlander dual piston. It us night and day difference. You shoukd give it a try.

Stock ecu? Is there a modification to the harness?

Yes stock ecu! It was tuned to rev to 7000, but otherwise it’s stock. The only mod to the harness was to trick the ecu to think it’s in park, and with the button in the car to put it in drive for cruise control.

In the first video, you mention the cruise control wont work unless you trick the ecu which you guys have with the push button start and actually physical key. If you gotten the ecu from lets say Frankenstein motorworks, do they have the ability to make the cruise control work?

Yes Marc’s ecu would allow cruise control to work with full power in drive

To further explain what is happening, the stock ECU only allows cruise control to work when the selector is in D, or drive. On an ECU that isn't tuned, the stock computer does not develop full power in Drive, UNLESS the automatic transmission is detected. This is an issue because when you swap the transmission, you obviously want full power, So thankfully the stock ECU still develops full power in Neutral or Park. What Frankenstein Motorworks is doing is telling the ECU to stop looking for the automatic transmission, and as a result, cruise control will function in Drive, and still develop full power. Hopefully, that helps a bit more!

When you upgraded the 4 cylinder to the 2GR, what did you do about the ECU? Did you swap in one from a V6 Camry?

Car was originally a v6 and a 6 speed automatic. Going from 4cyl to v6 is much more expensive and difficult unfortunately.

You can use the stock ecu either way! Doesn’t matter if you use the stock ecu, it will run just throw the 2 transmission codes. It NEEDS to be in drive for cruise control, and “park” for full power.
