Thanks, Stan! I’m trying something new and putting a brief fun intro from takeouts (thanks to you). I am a one man show, so I said “we’re out” by accident. It’s just me and myself, lol! Next challenge is creating catchy thumbnails which I struggle with. I’m looking forward to you releasing the radiator video tomorrow! I’m working on editing mine now!

What were the symptoms that made you change the fluid?

No symptoms, just a maintenance item. Manual transmission fluid should be replaced at least every 60,000 miles or more often depending on how you use the truck

@MaximumDIYGarage my 2004 xterra is running weird. It has no power but the engine is running good in neutral, strong. Once I'm in gear I barely move. Think this could be the problem?

Any noises? It could be a worn out clutch. Also clogged catalytic converters can give you no power symptoms.

How many miles on your truck? Because you have the 1st gen truck, I’m not familiar with that manual transmission, so I can’t comment on your symptoms other than you need to check the clutch.

2006-2014 XTerras came with 6-speed manual and 5-speed auto. Frontiers could be had with 4-cyl and 5-speed manual or a V6 with 6-speed manual or 5-speed auto. Thanks for watching, Jerrod.

I have a 2004 5spd manual and a 2006 6spd manual. I made the mistake of putting GL5 in the 2004...synchros got crunch. Changed again to Redline GL4. MUCH better shifting. Going to change the 2006 next. Going to do some more research before going to GL5. @@MaximumDIYGarage

@hackednhanoied I have noticed that during cold months, until the transmission warms up the gear changes are a bit rough. Do you recommend GL-4?
