Lowkey thinking about building my own car company that specializes in rwd manual cars (coupe and sedan) based on classic muscle cars along with cars like the new edge Mustang and 90s jdm cars...who wants to help Sponsor this, we really need to bring back fun to drive rwd manuals and take this car scene off of its life support for a long time. On the Toyota Supra you no longer have to opt for the A91 model. The A90s I6 are now available in the 6 speed manual.

Up until 2021 the Nissan Qasquai had a 6 speed. In canada anyway. When my wife needed to buy an Suv that was the only one i approved of.

ours is a 2019 and it was available only in FWD S trim. Not popular that I can attest, but I have seen a couple on the road. Finding one was a bit of a challenge, and the dealer was happy to have a buyer. I believe the last model year was 2021. 6th gear is crazy high....high revs at hwy speed.

@@etiennegregoire3091 It was redundant here. Wasn't much cheaper than a Rouge new and then the smaller Kicks came out. We found hers less than two years old then for about half the original sticker price with hardly any miles on it.

CVTs are garbage for sure. My ‘18 Corolla LE has one and it’s on the third one under warranty (30k miles). I asked for a manual that year but they didn’t have one on the lot. Should have waited.

Seems that CVT's no matter the brand have a tendency to fail. Probably why Lexus still sticks to torque converters across their range. Really sucks cause I'm eyeing a used NA V6 RC-350 but the shifts are so damn slow I could do better with my hand and foot however wouldnt be sad if they somehow engineered a fun, fast shifting DCT that was also bulletproof and cheap/easy to service.

This list is depressing. It basically tells you “Hey, we have zero options for certain models with a stick, muscle cars are dying because people like electric cars, and if you reeeeaaaaally want a manual transmission you have to buy a $50,000+ spec vehicle”

@@autochatter Absolutely. Only reason manufacturers aren’t making them is because they don’t sell, simple marketing. With the growth of EVs the sales will only plummet until both the manual transmission and the combustion engine altogether are a thing of the past. It’s so saddening for a young enthusiast who’s just getting into the game to know that these beautiful things and fun experiences are drawing their last breaths

The manuals are cheaper with the Camaro.Other model cars may be higher with a stick because of mandatory packages saddled with it.

At least it's not as bad as in Europe. In Europe, you're not allowed to get a GT3 Porsche or the Volkswagen Golf R with a 6-speed. You could have never guessed it from the memes passed around 20 years ago that it would be America alone that would uphold the manual transmission

You are incorrect about the jeep wrangler. Only some of the models come with a six speed manual transmission. For example, the 4XE only comes with an automatic. And the gladiator also does not offer a six speed manual in the V8. And the Subaru Impreza does not come with a six speed manual. It only comes with a five speed manual. Man, you’ve got to do your homework.

I forgot about the v8 and hybrid Jeeps to be honest. I know the Impreza sedan is 5 speed only but I thought like the 23 Crosstrek, the wagon version was a 6 speed as well. Manual Imprezas are D.O.A for 2024 unfortunately.

Well they do get better than the three speed auto days LOL. I'm more concerned with failures on some modern auto types today. It's so weird how the algorithms work..Ive had a 2024 manual guide up for some time now, but this one is still getting more views.

Automatics today are significantly better on fuel economy. More gears, faster shifts, and computer will always know the optimal RPM range to shift gears over a human.
