@ ITVAIL POSTER, FOR TEXTING ,I am NOT AGREE HERE!! I do manual COF bonding and I did a lot of it. IT IS Possible if you can't do that it doesn't mean others can't . The gentle who did the video , seems kind if evil, 1 person asked him what kind of glue he used, and he responded, watch the video, we know using the machine, it's about money , but i try anything , if you don't, you'll never learn anything , i learned how to do gas, plumbing , and electric , by reading and understanding what i was doing, the gentle doing the video said, manually cof is totally impossible, but he did it right, people are on here trying to learn , if it's so totally impossible to do, why are you doing it on youtube ? You comes off to me , to be rude and rather evil, it's ok to make money doing it, but don't be so hostile toward people trying to learn something, any work i do, it's like a boxing match to me, including the cof bonding you're doing, i'll battle that manually cof bonding, and if i'm knocked down the first time, i'll try it again, and come comment @ itvail poster.

He has a point because he cuts the cof a little shorter and places the soldering iron in front of the cable rather than directly on top of the cof and this melts the solder it appears on the driver board tracks which transfers back underneath the cof. is this doable? I imagine a high skill level required. If I could be as neat as you were on this video then I cannot see it failing. I cannot imagine myself getting as close as you did presently.

Is it possible to hear and press the COF for an easy fix to repair bond or does it always have to be removed, cleaned and re bonded? I have a black bar down the middle of my lcd. I wish there was an easier fix. No electronic repair shops near me do this.

Basically as far as I know those ribbons are just attached with heat, but in this case he managed to apply tin on the pcb and on the ribbon cable, and that allowed to join them together.

As video shows you have managed successfully to apply solder tin on the tcon pads and the flex film pads which is difficult and then aligned the film to the tcon pads.In my opinion at this point it does not seems so difficult to final solder the two pretinned surfaces together and the repairing proccess to end successfully.In fact in think you did it.

It can be solder, but it's not easy. I've done a few repairs, but it the cof is good, and if you have very advanced soldering skills, then it can be done. It's not for everyone tho firstly you was using wrong tip and doing it totally wrong

1. You did not do the bonding, but soldering. 2. How come you can say 1 thing and do 2nd and than try to say to us that you've done it 5 times - so, you do 5 times soldering vs 0 times bonding, and you expect us to believe you? 3. Why not buy a bonding tape on Aliexpress, and a soldering iron for COF bonding, and do bonding instead of soldering at least once? And you try to show the truth ;) - really? Sorry, I'm not buying it ;). Plus, you've covered the warning with some videos ;), I'm not clicking neither LIKE or DISLIKE, but I don't like that you are lier ;).
