Thanks!! I've always just set waypoints and Interpolated between them in the settings, strategically pre-planning the yaw and pitch . I'm going to experiment with the manual yaw and pitch like this and see if I can make some great shots!

Not working for me with Litchi and DJI Mini 2. Speed of all waypoints set to cruising speed and the general speed setting set to 0. The result: the drone flies autonomously to the first way point and stays there, hovering. No matter which joystick I move in whatever direction, the drone stays at way point 1.

Right joystick?

Good idea, manual gives a lot more control, how fast were you going?
@HI-PSI6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question. Around 8-15mph. Generally, I fly faster at higher altitude and slower at lower altitude. This video is pretty old now (P3S is the model I'm flying in it) but you can still follow this workflow.

Cool just started using litchi this week with my mavic pro 2 great app!
@HI-PSI6 жыл бұрын
@@3rdGorilla Right on man! I know you're digging the new mavic. I'm torn between waiting on the P5 or going ahead with that portability of the M2P. Looks like you've been messing with these for a while but still, be very careful when setting up these waypoint missions before going to the field. Always scope out the flight path from the ground before running it. Been a few times I've setup waypoint missions at the house then get to the location and there is a +,- 350' tower very close to or directly in the flight path. Not a big deal though, just adjust your waypoints on the scene.

Z Noble I started with the phantom 2 and a GoPro it’s insane how much better the technology is these days litchi is insane!
@HI-PSI6 жыл бұрын
@@3rdGorilla No kidding. I started with a $50 toy grade then P3S soon after. Up to a P4A now and it's an impressive leap for sure. You're gonna love Litchi, forget all those high wind and airspace proximity warnings. Have fun with it dude, I'll be watching out for some footage.
@richlarsen54555 жыл бұрын
ok, that is pretty cool.. Just tried a test. Certainly simplifies the manual dexterity required to rotate and fly in a straight line. Also helps in high wind. One note. I had my mission set to go to first waypoint upon completion. It will only go there if you push forward, like I expected, however, it will not go past the last way point in reverse. I guess, the mission is over, so it only knows to go between the last waypoint and the first.

I just watched your video and yes very good will this work for Mavic mini? And do U need wifi to do this? I try everything on the video but did not work!
@thex-wing2 жыл бұрын
@@HI-PSI I will try again to do it and see what happens but it's very good idea to take control of the speed thought that way U can get better shots with it. I do like your video on litchi very good.

Did the test today unfortunately yeah that does not work. Not sure if it's cause of the Mavic mini or change the system now

What’s up my friend my question is is this the mold you have to be in to control camera/ gimble your self throughout the waypoint mission I want to be able to control the camera myself what settings do I have to be under for that? Because sometimes I want to move the camera more downward and when I do it automatically correct itself. Is this the setting to have it on

What happens if you loose connection, it is better to set a slow speed and then you can slow it or speed it up, because with no speed set and connection lost, it will just hover until battery is low

Good point Chris, I agree with you. One thing I like about litchi apps it's waypoints. You don't have to worry about loosing signal. It will complete its mission no matter what. Just make sure it is high enough not to crash into things. I think giving a slow speed is good idea so that it will complete its mission under any circumstances.

Thank's for your good advice but when I said that I'am new at this I meant with Litchi app . I use to fly Phantom 1 before with go pro but nothing like the Phantom 4 with waypoint and Litchi. It's crazy my main goal is to learn well the app. Now I'am trying to learn what does the altitude means on the POI
@HI-PSI7 жыл бұрын
Jean Richard I apologize, let me try to explain POI altitude. Let's say you are in a big car park. The ground is nice and level. There is a flagpole at the entrance with a height of 10 meters and it's going to be the POI. If you want the camera to look at the flag flying at the top of the pole, you would set the POI altitude close to 10m. Or to get a more general view of the pole you would set it about 5m. Now let's say you are wanting to film that same flagpole but instead of taking of from the parking lot where it's located, you take off from the top of a parking garage across the street. The garage is 20m tall, so the top of the pole is now lower than the point of takeoff. To keep it looking at the same POI we will have to drop it's altitude to -10m since you took off 10m above it. You mention you are wanting to film a golf course. I will give three POI examples.. From the point where you are wanting to take off, draw an imaginary line from there to the POI locations and take a good guess at ground height fluctuations from point A to point B. Then you would set each POI height based off the takeoff point. Example: POI 1 is at the same altitude of the takeoff location so all you would do is set that POI and move on to the next. POI 2 is about 4m lower than takeoff point so you would set it -4m POI 3 is 6m higher than the takeoff point so it would need to be set around 6m POI altitude is dictated by the takeoff point. Since these drones don't know the actual altitude, it uses the takeoff point as 0 and bases the flight off that. Let me know if this makes sense or not.

I am planning a mission to photograph/ map a long road corridor from a moving car (with a driver and dedicated Spotter onboard so I can concentrate on flying). Your video has been extremely helpful thanks, as now I know I can fly the P4Pro with full control over speed - and not have the drone fly off beyond line of sight when our car gets stuck at red traffic lights for 30 seconds! My big question: can the Litchi app take photos at specified time intervals (e.g. 2 seconds) instead of by WP? If not, I am going to have to program hundreds of WPs per section. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

Nice video, thanks! Where did you get that landing pad setup? Is there a kit for it to work on a trip-pod? Thanks
@HI-PSI7 жыл бұрын
Stephen J I know of one kit but I figured I could make it myself. Made the pad out of a couple wooden pie box lids, fashioned a quick release plate out of wood, used wood glue to attach everything and a 50lb sack of horse feed for compression.. Waited a couple days for that to dry, spray painted, then used clear E6000 to glue the levels. I only use it for takeoff. It's kinda small for landing plus I always hand catch to land.

Jean Richard you can't enter addresses as far as I know. Just turn on your mobile device's GPS while it's connected to wifi or 4g, open the Litchi app, click on the map window in the bottom right to expand, then Litchi will find your location, from there use your finger to move the map around until you find where you are wanting to setup the mission. Let me know if that works for you.

also, go into the settings menu at the top (gears), in the general tab look for Map Type and select hybrid or satellite. I use hybrid.
