**FOR FORD N SERIES AND FERGUSON TO20 & TO30 TRACTORS... This is a Very Simple Trick that is Very Useful to know, for Hooking Up Your 3 Point Implements Easily or for Raising a Implement on a Tractor that Does NOT Run and the Implement is On the Ground. ...WITHOUT THE TRACTOR RUNNING ...This is How you can Manually Raise the 3 Point Hitch as simply as using a Floor Jack. ...Good News Is, This WiLL WORK ON ALL Ferguson MODLE TO 20 and 30 and All Ford N Series Tractors.. Bad News Is, This Will NOT WORK On Most Other Tractors.. Good Luck.
**Tractor shown in Video is a 1952 Ferguson TO30**

Great info. I could have used this advice yesterday while brush hogging a field, the tractor shut down & wouldn't refire. To make matters worse, it began raining, I'm by myself, had to walk back to the barn to get the front loader to "drag" the tractor & brush hog closer to the garage. It also doesn't help when you have no one to steer the disabled tractor! I'll be certain to add the fitsall & old screwdriver in the tool box. Thanks much! Joe Camel in Pa

OK ! I have always encouraged my student to read & consult the Operator Manual. NOWHERE in an old MF book does it say that! - always been the bane of my life when a tractor is parked for a hill-start with an implement which propped upon a stick. ( no one wants to unhitch first). Indeed it should work - we just didn't THINK that way, let's face it , more and more we are being led NOT to think - if it's not in the book, don't do it. ( could go on about Laws of the land like that ) I'll have to go try this with my MF Industrial - see if I can lift the plough or Ballast block. A very useful tip for those tractors designed like this - and I know which ones are. Thank you.

Keep these videos coming! I'm from suburbia and moved out to the country a couple years ago. I bought a 1940 Ford 9N and a bush hog a couple years ago to help me keep my 6 acre pasture under control. I didn't know anything about tractors but by watching great videos like yours I've been able to put the pieces together. One thing that always kept my wondering was how to raise the bush-hog, or any implement, without running the tractor. Got a quick question: how would you recommend cleaning out the radiator fins? I was bush hogging last weekend and the grass was waist-high. End result is that my radiator fins are clogged with debris. I can't quite reach the fins with a brush because of the radiator grill, so I was thinking about getting a couple cans of compressed air and blowing the debris out from the back-side. What are your thoughts? Thank you!!!

CaesarInVa - Regarding your question. ALWAYS keep the radiator fins impeccably clean. It's basic common sense, considering that not doing it will lead to engine overheating and costly permanent damage... About how to do it. Once more apply some common sense. If buying a bunch of compressed air cans every time you need to clean the radiator. Which in the proper season and conditions can be almost a daily task. If that makes any sense, go for it. ;-) Personally a water hose, jet wash or even a air compressor makes a lot more sense since it can be reused over and over again for years to come. Beside all the additional uses. ;-) The cans are excellent to increase the landfill and not much more. Cheers

Four years late... I keep some window type screening material on the front and it’s kept in place by pulling down the radiator screen, putting one end at top, and closing the radiator screen. The window screening is on the outside. Keeps all the seeds and numerous bugs out the radiator.and doesn’t seem to effect the air draw.

Thank you I am 64 years old purchased my first tractor a1952 Ferguson last year, today I moved a granite curb with a boomon the back, but the second piece appeared heavier possibly 500 or more pounds and I could not lift it, should I add hydraulic oil the dipstick does not read properly because of modifications made by previous owner, thanks for the video very informative
@MrDanoconnor
@MrDanoconnor 3 жыл бұрын
The Ferguson 3 Point can Lift at least 1000 LBS I have heard of guys lifting up to 1300 Lbs so 500 is Nothing. If It Dosen't Lift it at all them You have a Problem with the Inner Hydraulic Relief Valve or very Low or Cantaminated Fluid. I would suggest changes the Hydraulic oil and Buying a Good Dip Stick. Do NOT overfill, You will Blow the Seals which = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ If You don't have one, get a Service Manual. Good Luck.

Mr Danoconner, im having trouble finding stabilizer bars 29-1/2 centers, im told that my brush hog swings side to side because there are no stabilizer bars( and i desperetly need this because if i have to reverse, the brush hog gets pushed into the rear tire) ....NOW ..in my head i see the little chains and think if i shorten them will that help..BUT will that cause the issue of loosing the height that the brush hog can go up ??? i got the 29.5 measurement by pulling /pushing brush hog until drive shaft is perfectly straight with rear end and also doing measurements with tires and edge of brush hog on both sides..and the installing the wrong bars (31.5 centers) i'v been receiving, by putting one side into pin under tractor and the other end holding it up to the pin on brush hog and tracing it with a marker..

No way to do it with Never Tractors, Totally Different System. However On the Old Fords and Fergies with the Loader Taped Into the Same PTO Resovoir with a Diverter Valve, You Can Use this Systems to Raise the Loader But if they have a Seperate Pump Running off the Crank, as Many Do, It Will NOT work....That's Why OLDER IS BETTER...Keep it Simple and it's Easy to work on!
