NANDPRAYAG TO JOSHIMATH | 🐆 LEOPARD SIGHTING | CHAMOLI | UTTARAKHAND | Day 22 (PART 3) |

The highlight of today's drive was the leopard sighting near Joshimath in Chamoli, Uttarakhand. We started this in the 3rd part drive from Nanadprayag and travelled over a 100 Kms to reach Joshimath via Chamoli. The scenery along the way is breathtaking as is generally in this region of the Himalayas.
We Reached Karanprayag yesterday late in the night after visiting Aadi Badari and Chandpur Garhi in Chamoli. Today was the 22nd day of our road trip and we planned to start it with a visit to the Karna temple first thing in the morning. Karna Mandir is a beautiful vantage point from where you can clearly see the confluence of the Alakhnanda and the Pinder river.
After visiting karnaprayag, we planned to visit Nandprayag before reaching Joshimath to stay for the night. Nand prayag is 22 Kms from Karanprayag and the entire route is going through road works for the Char dham highway project. Nand Prayag after Karanprayag is one of the 5 holy river confluences that we planned to visit during the road trip.In this video, we reached Nand prayag and were fortunate to watch a local cricket tournament live. The tournament is dedicated to the founder of the Chipko movement Smt. Gaura Devi ji.

The drone shot around 4:30 was mesmerizing. The view was so good and raw with snow capped mountains at the end of the scenery. Also, the story telling as always is quite composed.
