Phone Scrolling Animation in After Effects | Tutorial

Hey! You can use any kind of picture or video you find online as reference. You don't need to film yourself;-) Just be honest about it. Almost nobody creates stuff entirely without any reference... Or do you?;-) This is probably not the typical "follow along and recreate it" tutorial... Hope you take away a few things from it anyway which help you to improve.

Manuel you so much this was so helpful, so glad I discovered your channel. I was wondering if you could also help me with something else. I'm trying to animate the light from the screen onto the subject's face. Any tips on how to approach that? I could add a glow effect to the screen, but how would I animate that to suggest that the screen is moving (or to recreate the scrolling effect in light)? Thank you in advance :)))

So glad you like it! That's tough... In reality, you wouldn't see a moving screen on someones face I guess. All you would see is some flickering light in different colours depending on the content on the phone, right? So I would use solids with unsharp masks to fake lights and move them.
