For some people if your hair is short it is straight and your true hair pattern will show if you grow it out and also, it can change when you get older.

Video summary: grow your hair to find out Personal experience: I've had the same experience but I never cared about my hair, my mom and dad would always cut them very short for 15 years straight, once I started commiting growing my hair out in 2020 I noticed my hair was curly and I was able to grow my hair all the way to the shoulders up to the 1st of July 2022, very hard to maintain but they were majestic.

I've tried so hard to change my hair (about 4 years), trying different hairstyles and using many different hair products and it has not changed at all. I have straight and very sharp/spiky hair which doesn't fall down but just grows up vertically. I have compared buzzcuts with people and their hair is soft while mine literally hurts to touch. In my country or at least the barbershops around me are all bad and literally don't know how to cut hair well. Those who are good are way too expensive (even the bad ones are tbh) + my sides grow very fast so I have to get a cut like every 2 weeks. I look around and I know more people who have curly hair than those who don't. I've given up at that point so I just have a little hair on top just like the celebrity styles mentioned in the video or just do a buzzcut entirely, I am not happy about my hairstyle at all though. The fact that I'm changing schools makes it even worse as I couldn't fix my hair enough before the end of summer.

This helped me so much , I buzzed my hair 8 months ago and I was thinking of getting a perm to make my boring straight hair curly , but after watching this video I decided I wont get a perm . After growing out my hair for a 3-4 months my hair became wavy and after 7-8 months it became curly

Here’s another bit of advice don’t know if he said this in the video yet but you should test to see how fast your hair gets oily and smelly. If it gets oily and smelly after a couple of days of not washing it wash it every day, if it takes a couple of days wash it every 2 days and if it takes more than a week only wash it once a week. Might seem like common sense but a lot of people are washing their hair way too frequently for what their hair actually needs. Also for those people who only need to wash once a week use some sort of cologne or perfume in your hair just in case.

When I look in the mirror or move it around appears wavy/curly but it grows like kinky 4C hair, like a bush. Should I let it grow out? Or do I just have kinky 4C hair?
