The major reasons for the concentration of cotton textile industry in areas of Mumbai and Gujarat are These areas have a humid climate, which supports the proper growth of cotton and provides the raw material for these industries. Cheap labor is available easily in these areas. These areas are connected with many sea ports, which reduces the cost of transporting finished products. Abundance of water resources also leads to concentration of cotton textile industries in these areas.

Yes,true but it was soon set off due to some political instability and less production followed by high expenses and instead of profit , there was only loss and hence it was considered an unsuccessful cotton mill and that is the reason why Mumbai mill is considered first *successful* cotton mill in India of year 1854. ❤❤
