My mother met Allen Ginsburg once. There was mail of his that was mistakenly delivered to her mailbox. She brought it to him and he invited her up to his flat for tea. She told me his lover Peter Orlovsky was tripping on LSD and frantically ranting about 10 cent helicopters. An ambulance was called and Orlovsky took a ride to the hospital that day.

@@Regular_Pigeon Yeah, he was supporter of Nambla, an organisation which advocated against the removal of age of consent laws. Not against CONSENT. So what Ginsberg was advocating for was the legalization of any sexual relationship if there is consent within. So, any proof that he was a child molester? Anybody who knows or has read a little of Ginsberg would realize he would never support any form of violation, of any kind.

He was an incredible poet who had some interesting ideas regarding culture, war, class and literature but undoubtedly sick-minded in his affiliation with NAMBLA. It's easily the worst part about him, that and his communist ideology, but undoubtedly an influential artist on literature and modern culture.
