When Toni speaks everyone goes to a different place...how her aura influcenced the tone of the host from busy, chaotic to soft, understanding.

How rude to ask if she said that because she was selling the book. What a rude question. I can’t get over the rudesnesd, it’s unbelievable. As if Morrison needs to sell any of her books. If I could I’d’ve fired him.

I felt the same way when he asked that. So demeaning to suggest that Toni Morrison would need to play act to sell books.

Two monks came to a riverbank. They saw a girl who was unable to cross the river. One of the monks shouted to her, “Come on.” Then he lifted her in his arms and carried her to the other side of the river. The other monk said nothing, but was puzzled and unhappy. In the evening, he could no longer restrain himself. He asked his companion, “We monks should not go near females. Why did you do so?” His companion laughed and said, “I left the girl at the riverbank. Why are you still carrying her?”

anyone else feel like the interviewer was incredibly condescending/rude? I honestly couldn't tell how she felt about it. I feel like she made a couple odd faces at his questions, specifically about Florens' ending

which she took that energy and expressed her work and opinion on lower class racism with such perfection! I'm quoting her in a graduate class in history on that "THATS PATHETIC!" I love her vibe! I'm about to read "A Mercy" and wanted to do a vibe check. She is Bonified!

Charlie Rose....NO. still not breaking his mind into imaginary hope and change. Toni Morrison is trying to educate Charlie still to break his perception of the world
