Love the humour. Keep it real doc. 💯 I would like to know what new if any techniques are been tried and tested for getting rid hemorrhoids surgically. Seen as the gold standard seems to be slice and dice from within. Even though you guys have got better at this over time it is a very old if not the oldest method around. I can remember reading something about tracking the vines and cutting off the blood to the hemmies from your neck... Don't know if this was the usual Internet farfetched wishful thinking but besides the THD operation (not a good guaranteed success rate) I cant see many more advancements. Could you make a video about this. What could we expect in the future 🤔

I've had fissures for the past two years. Not terrible pain, but very uncomfortable. I had a cream prescribed to me that I used religiouly for a month. It worked ok. It stung as I was applying it. But it didn't really get rid of the issue. So I did some reaserch and found out about manuka honey. I'm half way through the tube and the pain is completely gone. No pain when applying either. I'm going to finish the whole thing just to be sure, but it works great!!!! I got a bidet for my toilet plus wet wipes. And apply the honey after each movement and at least once a day. Keep it clean and apply often. If it gets itchy, clean and reapply.

@@whome5810 I didn't end up needing to try it. I had almost immediate improvement from an oil based Fissure ointment - from "Forces of Nature". Combined with an herbal bath salt soak x3 per day ("Better Bath Better Body" Juniper/Nairoli Sitz soak) , the spasms went away within a week. I also highly suggest switching from laxatives to metamucil. Also, immediate difference. I was losing my mind and this was the combo that finally helped. I am in pain from straining. The area is clean and dry. Would manukka help? What would be the remedy for hemorrhoids without any discharge and are a result of straining or blood going back and forth due to gravity and also flexing the sphincter. There is nothing that stops the hyper tone of the sphincter. I pray the botox stomps my problem out. Seems like the extra flexing has created poor circulation.

Well that was surprising!😂 I guess the patient must be pretty desperate at that point. One would think that there would be a medical device based around this principle, but perhaps no hospital would purchase it when the break room always has sugar packets! Manuka honey is so expensive, and the main reason it is used is that it has antimicrobial compounds. I remember that you said the bottom end isn't really bothered by bacteria, since it's always there. Maybe regular honey would work just as well? At least it would stay put on the area better than table sugar. Maybe your friends at Pranacura could do some research on this. It might lead to a new product!

I was having exactly the same problem as you do.. I mean the pain i reckon was excruciating when it comes to poop and after that pain runs almost all day long while sitting, doing work etc. Nothing else gets to your mind. It sort of brings your social/ personal life to hell. I still am suffering from this however, the symptoms are much less/ almost without pain now. Nefidipine 0.2% ointment works best. You can control symptoms and get fissure healed unless you know exactly what you eat keeps your gut happy (is anus friendly). Stop using Red Pepper (in curry/ salan) immediately, opt for black pepper, try eating papayas/ bananas, use husk (ispaghol) in morning soaked in water. Even Yougart and Porridge has worked for me. Continue Sitz Baths 2-3 times a day. Hope this helps.

I developed a formula for fistulas, using manuka honey, slippery elm, marshmallow root, dandelion root, berberine, butcher's broom, bilberry, and turmeric along with a few others I can't recall right at the moment. . Tried to give it to a vascular surgeon who was confused as to why he could not palpate scar tissue anymore despite having been repeatedly told that I was not down with having a seton and then another surgery to remove the seton..He was convinced that I wouldn't be able to heal it. . It was really upsetting because I did in 9 months what I was told was NEVER done outside of traditional apparently I am a freaking alchemist. I was extremely reluctant to have a surgery that didn't seem to have positive patient outcomes and at the same time go through a recovery period longer than the one that took me to fix the problem. What I did was told my doctor (PCP) exactly what I was taking and charting my results while also having my LFTs and other organs monitored. I ingested some of these ingredients by making teas and also made salves and poultices to apply topically. Just survived a grueling procedure ( colonoscopy)for the 3rd time and informed Drs in the operation prep room of my experiences with Manuka Honey. I am not discrediting this doctor in any shape or form because I have used traditional store-bought honey on a sore on my leg. Because I am not a diabetic the sugar wasn't a problem . Just can't say for certain that I would consider utilizing table sugar for that area given my healing rates with Manuka honey over the years with other issues...burns, ( all types) chaffing from damaged frostbitten skin, decubitus ulcers. I even placed it on my gums when I accidentally damaged my maxillary gums with toothbrush from brushing too hard..the tiny sore healed in 72 hours .works on cold sores too.. Every body is different so make sure you do the research and make sure you are not using something that could do more damage..i.e if you are on warfarin DO NOT use bilberry or even garlic or you risk serious complications including death. Always remember less is more and all the herbs I mentioned were used at different times through out the course of my 9 months healing process . Either I'm supposed to be a doctor or it was just really only a blind sinus cavity and not a true fistula as conveniently diagnosed by the surgeon who botched the surgery and his colleague, the one seeing me, put too much stock in an opinion of an overworked undereducated chief of general surgery who had never heard of hidradenitis suppurativa ( acne inversa) AKA blind zit .. Hope this was helpful ..and thank you to this Dr who has taken the time to post this videos and explain these concepts..He's very very smart!! Educate yourselves. Read evidence based research..Big medical terms?? Look them up and put the picture together.. it takes time..I've been studying various types of medicine since 1997 and have found that Occam's razor is applied for a reason.. Do the research before you get sick.. Read up on statistics and what the numbers really mean. Things like confidence intervals and hypothesis testing t scores z scores and such.. I promise that it's overwhelming to digest but so WORTH IT when you grasp it and apply it and it works. Best of luck to you and I wish you well.Feel free to leave me a reply. I have my own channel on KZbin to practice my music hobby but am thinking of making a channel to address self advocacy and thinking outside the box when it comes to care. Somebody one asked me..Who ARE YOU Dr Quinn Medicine Woman? .. I'll be surprised if anyone gets that reference.lol

@karliesanford6131 can you tell what you did, like did you mix it all up and rub around your setons/fistula exit wound? I have manuka honey daily since finding out about my fistulas (I will say mine are complex and involved the sphincter so I will likely need surgery no matter what).
@karliesanford6131 Жыл бұрын
@@TG-420 Sure.. to reduce inflammation in the area because mine was similar. I had a perianal abscess in which they left two open wounds to drain which caused the fistula to form.. At first I made teas out of certain ingredients that I mentioned above.. I did not mix them all together at once.. that is extremely dangerous on your liver... If you are a diabetic Please do not use the honey but if you are not a diabetic you should ok. What I did as far as a topical mixture is concerned is take turmeric and manuka honey and made like a consistency of like a paste.. I applied it in the area.. overtime what would happen is it would form what seemed to be like this huge zit and then drain and then close up . In order to encourage the draining I applied warm compresses before applying the turmeric and manuka honey paste. Only need a tiny bit..Then I just stick a piece of non stick gauze there... Turmeric reduces inflammation just like the honey.. when the inflammation is reduced the body can begin to heal.. I did not have a Seton.. I refused to have surgery because I wanted to see if what I did worked.. I repeated this process for months.. As far as all the other ingredients are concerned they certainly helped but I would combine dandelion root together with marshmallow .. I cannot say for certain if this is safe for you call me because I don't have access to your LFTs ( liver function tests).. what I can tell you is I used to drink many years and was about 4 years into my sobriety when I attempted this so even though my liver was healthy I had it closely monitored while taking all these herbs.. The paste of manuka honey and turmeric is what seemed to make it close permanently after many months..I did not find it painful.it was just messy and when the surgeon followed up claiming he couldn't find the fistula anymore he stated it was because he couldn't feel any scar tissue or evidence it existed..So I either performed the impossible that they claimed I never COULD or it was simply a very clogged blind sinus cavity ( really deep infected pore) that they misdiagnosed as a fistula.. I have had small recurrences time to time over the years but have not had another abscess or further surgery..In fact, I had a colonoscopy on September 28th and if there was an infection I likely would have gone septic if they ruptured my colon during the exam... Best bet is to start with the warm compresses and manuka honey/ turmeric combo as a paste... When and if you notice it drain you may see blood , yellow and green fluid ( lymph) from the area.. KEEP A CLOSE EYE on it and watch the surrounding tissue . If the area around the wound becomes sore, warm to the touch, you may be doing more harm than good...My best advice would benefit to take pics as you try to treat it with the paste... make sure you rinse in with warm water daily.. and do not use harsh soaps containing fragrances ..try baby wipes no fragrance, hypoallergenic.... I hope this helps.. remember that less is more.. I got lucky and was not only studying medicine at the time but I was also making sure that I was being seen by my doctors.... Monitor your temperature!!!! I hope this helps.. I know it's wicked pain-in-the-ass no pun intended.. but I wasn't about to have a Seton put up there.. they had already ripped me two new AHoles twice in one year and I wasn't going to go for another surgery... How did they confirm it was a fistula?..For me, they just did a visual exam ..no real CT...just said that they likelihood of it developing was 50/50.. So I called their bluff and immediately went to local apothecaries looking for natural antibiotics, anti inflammatories and others Could have done serious damage to my body but I scrutinized every research article I could and followed the directions on the herbs to the letter .I also wrote down what seemed to work n what only seemed keep symptoms at bay temporarily. BECAUSE I AM NOT A DOCTOR, I can only tell you about my personal experience.. because I have moved recently all my research and paperwork that charted the course of my recovery is buried in boxes . but I would gladly share with you reliable websites that matched my textbook findings!! Hope this helps... The bottom line is that it took months of close monitoring for me to see results.. I would notice less and less draining as time wore on and less and less tender skin....yes it was a lot of work and the most disappointing part was when the doctor did tell me that I seem to heal it? He did not want the formula that I brought with me to the appointment.. all he had to do was make a photocopy of it and put it in my chart... Instead he told me to update it in my records online... That was more tedious work than I had time To SIT AND DO CONSIDERING THAT THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM MOST LIKELY A ROSE AROSE FROM LONG PERIODS OF SITTING DOWN studying for school in the first place.. Also get yourself a coccyx cushion to take pressure off the area
