I'm very impressed with the result they achieved, given the tools they have available to them. Certainly takes a lot of skill. Or said in a different way, the quality of their results is largely based on their skill and experience, not on the design of any machines they use, apart from the bending machine which provides a straight bend line. In the modern industry, you don't easily find somebody as skilled as them with a hammer anymore.

The factory near me is cutting, drilling, folding, welding and painting the parts fully automated. Only the final assembly is done by hand. One assembly line does around 40 in 6 hours and that is a coated cabinet. Hope your country will develop to this level soon.

The alternative to doing what they’re doing now, which is probably earning a living wage, albeit a small one, is to demand more money and have their job automated or outsourced. They’re not living in America, bud. They just can’t stay at home and demand to be paid by the government or make $20 an hour as a cashierista at Starbucks, which, if you ask most millennials still living at home, still isn’t enough money.

Your comment is stupid and makes absolutely no sense. Making a cup of coffee is not an industrial activity that involves working with metal and pieces of heavy equipment. These men should be wearing work boots, gloves, hearing protection, and eye protection because of the type of work they do. Despite the fact that they are proficient at making metal cabinets, there is always the real possibility that they will cause serious injury to themselves or others.

@Planner38

@@ManVSMachineHD Comfort cannot be a consideration in industry. When I worked in paper making while in university, I was required to always wear safety footwear, hearing protection, and long-pants. In certain instances, I was required to wear a hard hat and a reflective vest. There are times that I was hot and uncomfortable. Sometimes the earmuff-type hearing protection I wore caused my neck and jaw to hurt a bit. You suck it up and keep going because it is a mandated part of the job. Other important safety rules include not wearing long, loose clothing, using a hairnet or hat to secure long hair, and not wearing rings, chains, or other forms of jewelry. These men need to grasp reality. If they want comfort, they should quite their jobs and go to the beach.

Not only does he appear to have a serious bruise on his right foot, but also a bandage on his large toe, probably the result of a workplace injury. @@watcher05er I actually feel pity for these workers, as their employer has obviously not educated them about safe work methods, or provided them with appropriate equipment (safety glasses, work boots etc). Knowledge and basic safety equipment need not be expensive either. Just because someone is born in a poor country, why should they not seemingly care about their own well-being at work? That was my point. I do, however concede that they probably can't speak up about these issues, at the risk of being fired. Such is life with tyrannical employers! 😡
