After many years of attending, I’ve given up on trying to get hot limited quantity items. To say they sell fast is an understatement. I’ve seen ones that were sold out less than 5 minutes after the hall opened. A couple years ago my friend and I tried to get Twilight Inscription. By 10:02, the line was wrapped around the booth. By 10:04, they announced they had no more.

Check out the name of the lost fleets, around 4:00, total homage to other board games like Terraforming Mars, Eclipse, Twilight Imperium, Star Wars Rebellion, lol. Edit: they mentioned it also at the 5:30 mark.

Only issue i got is the old gaia box is to small and the insert i got aint able to hold anything of the new stuff

Oh, yeah. I would guess if you had a custom insert, the new stuff would not fit. I think in the standard box though, it might (bags and boards).

Is the guy on the left Tom Vasel's son? They look so similar ^^ Don't know if this expansion wouldn't make the game too complex for me (and especially my game group, we haven't even played everything from the base game) to enjoy. But as a Gaia Project fan I will still get it.

The way the automaton works I assume it works solo. It seems it will be available end of august.

Yes this can be used in solo using Automa. There is info on Automa in the rulebook, you can fine on bbg.

Honestly, probably the balancing. There are a LOT of moving parts here, which would've taken 1000's of hours of play testing. Just my 2 cents. Hearing from the designers, they wouldn't release something half hearted.

From what i heard they got disrupted by covid and then had to put resources into age of innovation, so put this expansion on hold.

i used to critisize the designers for rehashing a proven system into several games thus producing the same game terra nova terra mystica gaia project age of innovation..now hearing and seeing this expansion...i dont like it...its adding cool stuff for sure but its overcomplicating an already thinky game...i know someome who has played 100 games of gaia project and has said every game was different in some aspect...so if someone who has played GP that much still finds depth in the base game i see no need to buy this...i would rather they expanded the expansion into a full game...

But it's not just a retheme. The considerations for this game is totally different than say age of innovation. Azul, love letter, etc are way more egregious examples of simple reskins
