Enjoy watching your content (mainly the family to medium weight games as they are easier to table for me), but miss the chit chats as those were interesting conversations with the group. Getting 3 or 4 peoples’ opinions at once is more entertaining than one individual on camera. This is why I watch the Dice Tower quite a bit. I watch board game content mainly to learn about new games that would interest me and also the top 10 lists. Doing a top 10 list of the year every 3 to 6 months would be great. Create a weekly series where you do a live play of a game that can be played on a weeknight with family (30 minutes or less). Keep up the great work!

BG Stats is awesome and helps me with my gaming ambitions. Every year I create these challenges (so rewarding when I get a play in towards a challenge): 1. 5x5 (play 5 games 5 times) of my top 5 games of all time (missed it by one play this year). This is my #1 goal every year. 2. Learn 50 new games (had 43 last year and 38 previous year) 3. 50x1 play each game in my top 50 of all time at least once (got to 27 last year so I have some work to do in 2025) 4. Cull 20 games - this is probably the hardest but maybe the most rewarding. Once a game is culled I have more room for newer games. Want to keep my collection of currently 154 games ideally under 100 but 134 is the goal by end of year. 5. Get back into a routine of attending or hosting a game night at least every 2 weeks. 6. Continue to purchase more small box games that are fillers for gaming groups but weeknight games with the family.

Your play through or first round videos are so helpful and my favorite way to decide whether a game is for me or not. I really appreciate all the content you provide, but I completely understand maintaining a healthy work/life balance and will be glad to look at whatever content you do produce. Happy New Year and may it be a great one for you and yours.

One of my resolutions is to knock off 35-40 games from my overflowing shelf of opportunity. This leads to another of my resolutions, which is to get together with gamer friends more regularly. I made some new gamer friends at the tail end of 2024 and now that the holidays are calming, I’d like to get together a few times a month. Finally, playing solo once a week. Whether it’s a quick hitter, or a big one; one of my all time favorites, or one new to me; I just want to solo more, to play more. Also, play my top 10 favorites, 10-12 times each. Thanks for the great content MvM!!

Great video guys!!! Loved the ideas. Stole the topic and created a thread in the 1PG on BGG. Credit was given to y'all. 1) Make and complete a 10x10 list 2) Play 730 total games to pump my average up 3) Get through Sleeping Gods at least once

My Board Game Resolution is to quit buying so many games. I usually buy 1 to 3 games a week. Maybe just buy 1 every two to four weeks, for a while anyway. Also, buy games that arent so big, easier to get to table and that will be easier to get more people to play. To actually play all the games I bought last year To actually enjoy playing my games Which I do now I am the type of player that when I break out a game I will leave it on the table for usually at least a couple of weeks Sure, I play plenty of filler games as well But I like to enjoy a game-get intimate with it baby One of the GREAT things about being in the Hobby And not working in the Hobby No pressure to keep playing the next game. Although, it would be kewl to get to play all the games! Edit: And yeah, I give advice when someone is learning a game I know and am playing with them. Im a good loser, but no one likes someone destroying them while they are trying to learn.

Marrakesh in well within my top 10, as well. I finally moved Marrakesh Essential Edition (which I received from you) on to a new home...because I pre-ordered the deluxe edition. Great game! This is another vote for the return of chit-chat. Easily my favorite of all the content you produce!

Every January I start logging my stats every February I stop logging my stats. People on my discord have all these great end of year visuals they post and I wish I were that disciplined.

I feel ya. I don't worry about logging gameplay so much. I play games to pass time and because I enjoy it. That's all I need from my board gaming life. But I do love that there is this community of gamers on youtube and places like BGG

You can use BGstats in different ways, depending on what you want to get out of it. You don't have to be accurate all the time. If you're interested in keeping track of new-to-you games, just track those. Maybe you wanna focus on campaign games, or the number of plays with a loved one. It shouldn't feel like work😊

I hope to crack open Inventors and play a South Tigris marathon! Also want to reboot my small game group. Thanks keeping me going in 2024. Can’t wait to see the new content.

Sounds ambitious. Sounds great! Probably going to move my watching of the channel on my laptop specifically; watching gameplay is better on there than the phone. Miss Chit Chat.

One of my tips for logging games is to create a text to myself of the games played and any relevant stats. It comes in handy at cons and game days

Over the last 4 years I've bought over 500 games. This year I'm not buying any and playing the ones I haven't

I am totally there for an hour and a half teach that goes through all of the details. I recently played a simple game with someone who taught all of the rest of us very quickly. He then immediately collected three game breaking cards and slaughtered us all gleefully. Maybe something in between would be ideal for most people

I hope to play more campaign games. I am done with (new) euro games. They are not inventive, original nor worth playing if you already played 200+ euro games in the past. So, coop and campaigns for me

Other stuff idea: Games that aren’t cult of the new. Older games, that are hidden gems. Perhaps the game got overlooked, or deserves a second look.
