She looks lovely in the inside but externally like a sailing, block of flats. That black is way too low on her hull & the funnel appears to be offset & not in proportion. Still excellent video.👍

It is interesting that a vessel that has come through many types of sea on its delivery voyage, has to have a stability test when it gets to its destination.

I,m guessing the manxman has stableisers looking at the way it dosent roll side to side, and there's side markings indicating the location of them, puzzled to not see any anchor points ? if she lost power with no anchor it could go wrong fast especialy close to shore seeing as its shape makes it a massive sail,.

I don't like those big flat sides, I think in high wind conditions I think she could roll badly.

It wasn't rolling at all maybe it has stableisers,.

@@cabovermike The Manxman has stablisers - see the marking amidships - but in normal service all the Steam Packet boats do not use stablisers when exiting Douglas or entering Douglas as the manouevering required is not good for the stablisers and I also think the stablisers hinder turning and manouvering into/outof harbour. I think in the last few minutes, in DOuglas Bay, the stabilisers will be in.

Hi thanks for commenting it was the tail end of Storm Betty has brought heavy downpours and high winds to much of the country as the UK's unpredictable August weather continues manxman was out the night before and was north of the island, I filmed in the morning and it had moderated, thanks for watching 😁

Hi thanks for you comments, I have updated the title and info page to explain about Storm Betty when this was filmed, just glad it didn't get any worse, here on the Isle of Man. summer storms luckily are not as severe as winter ones. thanks for watching best wishes Rob.😎
