HUMIC ACID has transformed my yard. It's an amazing product for sure!

I was just getting ready to spend some Anderson Humic DG on my lawn but wondered it it's safe to use in 90 degree temps.
@CentipedeCentralLawnCare Жыл бұрын
Sure since it has no nutrients like Nitrogen it is safe to apply in all conditions. Apply to dry lawn and water it in or wait for rain.

How frequently can you apply humic acid? Can you over-apply it?
@CentipedeCentralLawnCare2 жыл бұрын
You can apply however often or frequently as you like. Monthly or every 6 weeks for applications during growing season are ideal

How should I use this product. Should I use this and then put fertilizer..What's the wait time in between each product
@CentipedeCentralLawnCare2 жыл бұрын
You can apply this the same day as fertilizer. It will enhance the fertilizer. Just apply in a spreader like you would granular fertilizer. You can really apply as often as you want but every 4-6 weeks in the growing season is great.

Can this product be used to improve clay soil? How mant times do you use it during the year ? Thanks so much for your help and this video!
@CentipedeCentralLawnCare3 жыл бұрын
Over time you will notice an improvement to clay soil with consistent applications. Really helps with water retention. I do an application about every 6 weeks from Spring until October. Thanks!

Can I put Humic down now in my centipede yard? I live in South Louisiana. Or should I wait for 80% green yard?
@CentipedeCentralLawnCare Жыл бұрын
Yes either way! Putting carbon down is beneficial year round. You can apply now to get a head start on growing season or wait and apply same day as your first fertilizer app.

My big question: did I get ripped off on the price of 'Simple Lawn Solutions - Soil Hume: Organic Seaweed, Humic Acid Soil Treatment' at 1% Humic Acid with 4% Kelp vs The Andersons Humic DG's highly concentrated 70% fulvic acid, humic acid and humin? I picked up a gallon (128oz) of 'Simple Lawn Solutions - Soil Hume: Organic Seaweed, Humic Acid Soil Treatment' at the start of this year on Amazon. And I couldn't really tell if it was doing anything on my st Augustine lawn. So I put the rest of this Humic Acid on my sad front yard with the centipede grass and no fertilizers. I swear the centipede perked up for 2 weeks until it rained heavy for days. In that time it changed the color from a dead straw grass (possibility not enough water) to a more vibrant granny smith apple color and also a few moldy black spots went away for a while. So this has me thinking about this Humic Acid and other soil amendments that my Centipede lawn craves.

Both would be beneficial, however you are definitely getting more down with the granular.

45 bucks!!!! I could only find it online. I paid 80. I got shafted. But it's worth it from what I've noticed so far.

Yes it is tough to find. I was shocked when I found it! I will happily pay for it each year because it’s great stuff.

I just laid seed on my property it was a new home build there for no prior landscaping. I went with tall fescue as I live central California its a transition zone from what I can tell. I used compost to cover the seed its been about two weeks and its sprouted well with a few patches. I was thinking about adding the Andersons starter fertilizer but was wondering if it would be better to put the Humic DG then the starter fertilizer? Or can I combine? I appreciate your knowledge 🙏 love the videos!

Sounds good, yes you can either apply one right after the other or you can blend them. Thanks for watching!

Great info. Thanks for sharing. If I could make one suggestion it would be to consider a tripod. The camera movement tends to cause me motion sickness.

I’m in SC and have centipede grass, I haven’t done anything to my lawn since moving here 4 years ago. My lawn has been taken over by weeds. I’m dethatching this weekend, my question is what should I do next? I’ve read so many places that it’s a waste of time to “weed” until fall. Your videos are great very informative 😁
@CentipedeCentralLawnCare3 жыл бұрын
If you have a ton of weeds I would recommend either using one of the weed and feed products (see my “Weed and Feed” video). The products I recommend are in the description of the video. Or if you’d rather take care of the weeds separately, spray some Atrazine (see “Atrazine” vid) and then fertilize a couple of weeks later. Thanks for watching!

I've used Humic12 for the past few years. I seem to see a difference very quickly after spraying it down. Right now I'm about 100% green in coastal GA. However, our weather has gone from high 80's to low-60's overnight. Then back into the mid-70's and down to the mid-50's later this week. I"m still holding off on applying any 'N' until this weather settles down a bit. For now just watching for weeds and spot treating as needed.

Good plan, I see where we are getting lows down into the mid 30’s this week so yes it’s still pretty volatile right now. Patience is key. Thanks Patrick
