many berry wine (mixed fruit wine)

hey all
so I thought it was time to make a mixed berry wine.
when it comes to making wine I am a bit of a puritan, like 1 fruit wines but there is nothing wrong with mixing it up and adding as many berries as you can get a hold of :)

This is basically the first wine ever made, although mine was mixed berry and fruit of the forrest. 100% recommend back sweetening otherwise it has a weird burn flavour (somehow). I tend to use it as fruity icecubes for things like pims or store bought fruity wines so it doesn't dilute it

well i will keep an eye out for the burn't taste but its smelling really good so far :) the ice brews for pims sounds pretty good. i may have to give a go :)

Farmfoods do mixed fruit super cheap ! Been thinking of doing this for a while .

Ok..made this & not sure if I did something wrong. Tasted a bit dry before I bottled it, so I added sugar (to make it a bit sparkling). I burped the bottles and let’s say there was a huge wine explosion. I don’t want the bottle to explode, but how long should I let it sit? I had to add the sugar since it def wasn’t sweet enough.

well sugar may not have been a good idea to sweeten, making it sparkling fair enough but the yeast doesn't know which is which :) maybe try a sweetener for back sweetening next time. it will save you alot of hassle. after 1 week take a bottle and just crack it open if its like a torrent of gas, put them in a cold fridge, if nothing happens then wait a bit longer. its the best i can offer with out knowing specifics :)

making homebrew wild and cheap I just used a generic wine yeast in the beginning. Nothing but the sugar added when I bottled it. I’m pretty new to wine-making & I must have misunderstood, I thought I saw you sweeten the bottles.. maybe I used the wrong sugar. I’ll def try back sweetening next time & I’ll try the fridge as well. Also could I have just sweetened to taste by the glass? I don’t want to waste the rest I have to bottle. Thanks
