Thanks for the video , just wondering what is the advantage of having the bait sliding up and down your main line? The sinker will surely hit the bottom first so wouldn’t it take awhile for the bait to reach the bottom? or this is the advantage of the rig I.e having the bait to slowly slide down so that you can fish different depths ?

i think it is wrong because even on the thumbnail are shown that bait does not have to slide on main line and i think it is pointless because there are big chance to bait stays close to surface and do not sink when you get bite you will need time to hook it because of sliding.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge in this video, the rig is very nice! Is there a reason (i dont understand) for using 2 different knots for the swivel to lead (also the swivel to main line) and the knot for swivel to hook ? As i sometimes fish in rocky shore, i like to use a smaller line to the weight, because i assume there is a high probability of the weight getting stuck in the rock while a fish is on, i want the weight to break when its stuck before the fish/hook is lost; im not using lead because of pollution but using iron rebar that i prepare to use as a weight, iron will rust and is perfectly fine for the envirronement. 😚😘

The shape of the moorings are very good but the problem is in the position of the hook, which is that when you cast the bait, due to lack of weight, it slides along the thread.

I will try this and thanks for posting but with one addition. That is to put a bead just beneath the plastic no chafe and then a stopper made of heavy thread beneath the bead. That should allow suspension of the bait at any height above the bottom. Especially if you in a boat suspended directly above a mess of trout as seen on a fish finder.

I usually use a lighter line for the sinker, it allows a break in case of a bad sinker snag saving the rest of the gear.

can buy sinker with swivel attached and use a lighter line. or can add a single half knot to the sinker line so can easily break when in need...

@@juliocesaranez3853 Occasionally the sinker will get snagged in something at the bottom - something like rocks, or a crab trap, or wire or, well...whatever. So it's common (and wise) to not attach the sinker directly to your terminal tackle but to make a short length of low strength mono like 6 lb test to the sinker and then attach that to your swivel. So if you get snagged, you will be able to save the rest of your gear by just pulling hard and breaking off the "sacrificial" short length of line attaching the sinker to the swivel. Of course, this will be fairly painful to the wallet if you use sputnik sinkers.

Ummm … nice. However, here are some addition details. Put a snap swivel to the sinker so you can easily change weights. Also the line to the sinker should be much less test so if you get a snaggola with the sinker, you can break it off.

maybe he wants less resistant. And yes less test is better for ez break off. I think why not use T shape swivel? maybe he wants the bait more free move but that cannot control the depth of the bait.....

Trilene knots are superior to the ones you tied . As far as the sinker goes , you only need a single overhand loop . You can change sinkers whenever you want, and if you get hung up that overhand loop will pull right out , I know because I’ve tested them.

You put the sinker and hook in the wrong place, they should be swapped. If you swapped the hook and sinker location you are then directly in contact with the hook. This will allow you to feel bites better and its better for fighting the fish. It doesn't matter if the sinker slids up and down, you deffently don't want a hook sliding up and down your line. We call it a running sinker rig, or western port snapper rig.

Use a T turn 3 way swivel, by Thundermist Lures instead.

Thundermist products are not available outside North America. There are similar T turns from China, but the product quality may not be trustworthy unless you know the supplier well enough. Making a rig yourself by tying reliable knots sometimes is the best choice.

Rangkaian yang bagus. anti melintir.. cuman menurut saya ada 1 kelemahan yaitu kalau di laut yang agak dalam kurang lebih 20-30 meter umpan akan lama untuk mencapai dasar, karena tidak ada penahan diatas.... apalagi kalau timahnya besar... Mohon koreksinya kalau salah
