No I disagree with that comment those people are here to work not to be on welfare what happens with some the become Americanize used to the way of life here I think a program if controlled by giving them a chance with a program to stay in the USA for 6 months to a year for them to make money and go back to where they came from and letting them know they will be prosecuted if they return before they are eligible to come back and work basically add up how many people cross per month and divide them into groups of 10,000 first group A second group B etc each group given a certain amount of time to stay to work only so no going to party only work and home I believe it would help the crisis at the border and help the economy both here and in there country making there countries economy better with work done in The USA and that alone will lessen the the illegal crossing Reason being dollars would go a long way in there country

We came here legally from the Phillipines but took us awhile, then we struggled..7 of us in 2 bedroom, mom and dad took any job they could. We never relied on sec. 8, food stamp or welfare..but we made it..but I think it's much harder now than 40 years ago.

In order to be granted Asylum, an individual is required to provide evidence demonstrating either that they have suffered persecution on account of protected ground in the past, and/or that they have a "Well Founded Fear" of future persecution in their home country. But time and time again and over and over we hear interviewed migrants talking about their reason to seek Asylum in America is for the purpose of seeking a better life, not because of persecution. So if they claim persecution, even though most all say they are seeking a better life because of poverty in their nation, is the US government going to require proof of prosecution or just take their word for it. And BTW.....poverty in their nation is not a reason to request or be granted Asylum.

And there's plenty of poverty in the US, but I don't know if those other nations provide welfare like we do. My sister used to work at a hospital and she witnessed Americans with no insurance showing up to the ER and getting charged an arm and a leg. When undocumented people show up, they can't be turned away and get treated for free. There's something about that which is inherently unfair.

As a Mexican, I agree. Your government made a bad decision by allowing immigrants, and everyone in Latin America from Argentina to Chile, Peru including Mexico, is suffering because of you. Many Venezuelans, Central Americans, and Colombians are not respectful, polite, and many times they only ask for money without accepting any job, the worst. After all, they believe that coming to the USA they will give them a house and money for free.

Yes these Venezuelans are extremely entitled. They act humble but they’ll advantage of people and resources. They feel it’s their right to be taken care of. They don’t know how to work. I mean tbh have you not run into any immigrants in your life? There's folks here who are in their 80s that never learned a drop of English. But yet they raised entire families, found jobs where the language barrier doesn't matter and so forth. If language was a real issue for them, you wouldn't see millions coming a year.

In nine months I was conversational and at a year I was able to connect with Germans.
