This calculator came in handy for my Intermediate algebra class. I didn't have to "improvise" when it came to setting up the problems because the setup was, what I call, literal. For example, I didn't have to use " / ", for fractions, or "^" for exponents. Instead, I was able to set up the equation on the calculator the exact same way it was set up in the book.

The Casio fx-991es Plus C is the Canadian version of the fx-115es Plus...same exact calulator.

Another trick for fractions, is to type the numerator, the press the button. Or if you want to do the denominator, you type it in, press back, then press the button.

This video accidentally taught me something not about the calculator, but about math. I figured out how to *divide by 7, mentally, in decimal form*. Choose 'Read more' below to find out (and possibly to smashy your brain if you're not that kind of math person): So, 1/7 equals 0.142857 repeating. This will be your template to write down the answer. The numbers from least to greatest are 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, and 8. Assign these to 1 through 6, respectively, so that would mean 3 would be 4 and 5 would be 7. So, if I apply this method, here are our answers: 1/7 = 0.142857; 2/7 = 0.285714; 3/7 = 0.428571; 4/7 = 0.571428; 5/7 = 0.714285; 6/7 = 0.857142, all decimals repeating. There you go, a new method I might have discovered about dividing by 7. I hope I didn't smashy your brain!
