John, it's likely that the protagonists requested the biological safety room because tension was rising in whatever war was happening. The news broadcast makes it clear that the protagonists wasn't the only one, so it must have become a standard

Jon. JON. Please, please check out Renowned Explorers: International Society! It's like FTL meets The Curious Expedition. Oh my god. It looks to be right up your alley. I would love to see you play a couple rounds of it, maybe exploring friendly vs. aggressive runs, or playing with which party members you choose (all speakers or scientists, etc.). The customization of your party and fighting styles shoots the replayability through the roof and encourages challenge runs.

The math DOES say that head-shots are better than the other two options unless you need to be accurate for a small sliver of health left.... For that enemy. (low+high)/2*percent = average damage. 17:50 Here it is better to go for body shots. 31:10 Body shots again. 35:54 Headshots by a mile. Randomness is a bitch though.

unlike many good roguelikes, this game is too reliant on randomness and the player has basically no agency. as much as it seems the game is good, it's really on rails and is terrible.

+rolazrei Most good roguelikes almost have all aspects of the game rely on randomness (Binding of Isaac, Rogue legacy, Darkest Dungeon, Don't Starve, hell even Oregon Trail) .. It's also a turn-based game which often rely on random aspects as well :o

+Tyler C it's not the randomness itself, it's the agency. the games you listed have many skill elements, this game does not. even the combat, as he stated in the video is not really skill or even choice based... The average damage can be calculated and there is a best choice. there is always a best choice in this game thus far, which removed personal agency.

Just because a choice does the most damage overall out of 100 attempts, does not mean it is the appropriate choice as you may miss 5 times in a row in a situation in which you do not wish to miss. You're giving up accuracy for damage. Also it's tactical when to run, and when to fight and with what stats to go. It's very random, but I don't think it's too much so that there is no skill :o

This was the most infuriating LP you have done, watching you go let me swing with the attack that constantly misses at the hope that ill do more damage, when just hitting every single turn for less is much more profitable.
