It gives to think about the amount of stuff that influenced even in the slightest the world and it's effects nowadays History is this big mess of causes and consequences that people try ti untangle, only to find they are facing half of the problem. And they love it.

@@JohnAndJohner We are talking about the 4th century here. Greece had been roman for 6 centuries at that point and had by that time had adopted a roman identity. And the olympic games had been open to people from all the empire for most of that time. The closure was part of Theodosius strikes on pagan stuff, which also affected lots of ancient institutions from the city of Rome itself.

Jon, Korinth is owned by Macedon and occupied by Aigion. You can't have that off Aigion in a war. Also, Thrace would be siege leader for Patrai and they'd probably give the occupation over to Macedon if they won the siege. I assume it is too late and the next episode is already recorded but I think you are about to make a few mistakes.

Came to watch a historical video game let's play, and got a great surprise of insightful historical analysis on how culture and national identity works. Seems first DLC has to be a diplomacy DLC. This game, even though it's not a Total War, seems to focus exclusively on war on progress. Unlike say CK2. Also, despite Jon, it lacks the kinda personality touch that CK2 and even Rome TW have. So far it's a pure numbers game. And i think it's more complicated than complex. It generally feels like a lot like some of best of pieces from Stellaris, CK2 and so on but isolated and with a lack of depth to all of them.... I wonder, how they can possibly fix this. and what it will cost.
@5Andysalive
@5Andysalive 5 жыл бұрын
@Kyle Vernon Those games have only serious content after several DLC. Especially EU4. Hoi4 locks important features in otherwise pretty useless dlc. And this game here feels like bits and pieces from other Paradox game that seriously lack depth. Numbers and characters. I've seen Jon play CK2 and it feels very differently to a plain number game. Even Total War does. I doubt he can do it with this one. It will be army sizes and dice rolls all the way down. Oh and isorrowproductions just played EU4 without any dlc. Interesting video.
