Definitely will go down more in detail in shorter tutorials in the future, this was a breakdown of the map itself and more about the principles and techniques than about the actual numbers and values :D

This is the best world painter tutorial, can you upload more videos? Also is there a way to not paint it and kinda like line up automatically? Also you didn't show how to load the black/white topographic map onto world painter

What is the node beetwin the Height and BiasGain one at 9:30 ? Because when i use BiasGain, i don't have sand anymore. thx

Why do you use GAEA instead World Machine? Do you already work with both programs?

I did use worldmachine a long time ago, the major factor that led me to Gaea was, - nodes would break after updates in WM, - also the free version exports in 1kx1k resolution instead of only 500x500 - the developers of geoglyph (best addons for sure) are behind that program, so i fully trust in them making an incredible work environment - and it has a similar but more simplified way of doing maps :D but at the moment i would say worldmachine is for sure the more professional tool to do the work :D

Quick question. Every time I try to make islands like this I end up getting just a massive mountain. I can't seem to get it the way I want it and it really bugs me. How do I fix this?

Gaea Normalizes the render to 0-1 / 0%-100% You can add a small spike in the nowhere that goes to 100%, and use this as an absolut metric to scale your islands.

@@McMeddon I talked to someone on the discord. So turns out I needed to clamp my multifractal node along with the mask node. I was able to make some sick mountains using this.
