When this sensor is going bad or gives bad readings, the computer starts to feed more gas so there won’t be a failure. So it helps your gas mileage. So if you smell rich fuel out your exhaust maybe that’s why

very odd..i have 2004 ram 1500 5.7L...my map sensor same location but my connector/sensor is rotated 180deg compared to urs...the wires are going towards rear of engine and not towards front like urs...how can that be

Got a 06 big horn edition 5.7 few weeks ago. anyone Noticed on light acceleration sounds like a cough or studder or boof sound. idk if its a backfire in the intake or what...possible map sensor.. its Just on light acceleration if I'm on it sounds perfectly fine. Had the mechanic the dealership sent me to look at it and he said its the k&n cold air intake that was installed and should put the stock back on. Anyone else have this issue with cold air intakes. I dont have the stock intake and cost more to convert back to stock...any help is appreciated
