I'm Curious to know what the 300 Million years dot is near Morocco..., was an earlier Homonid fossil discovered there but not relates to the Earliest common ancestor of Homo Sapiens ?

Thanks for your comment. Recently in 2017, a dig has found 315,000 year old fossils from Morocco could be earliest record of Homo Sapiens. In a cave at what is known as the Jebel Irhoud site, 5 ancient individuals were discovered. The researchers claim that this is a Homo Sapiens is still controversial, however because anthropologist are still debating exactly what physical features distinguish homo sapiens from our more primitive ancestors. I included on the map however didn't call it out verbally because it is still being discussed and scientist don't have a consensus on this site as Homo Sapiens. Why did Humans start only on one specific spot on planet Earth? Could this situation happen again for a new "second start"?

That is a very good question. Compared to how old other species are, we are a very young human species and unless we think we are in some kind of special circumstance, we are not the end. What's next? We don't need a new start as evolution is an ongoing process to a species. As we travel into space and settle new planets over then next 10 thousand years or so, I think our species will evolve in those new environments and become something different then we are today on earth.

Please stop using the phrase 'Mitochondrial Eve'. That confuses people and it gives ammunition to Science deniers. Please us the phrase 'Most Recent Common Ancestor' or 'Last Common Ancestor'. 'Concestor' is also sometimes used but I think that it should be avoided.
