I prefer now to carefully set a farm up so it is fun from day one and it doesn't feel like I'm grinding. Still need some kind of sense of direction, though.

Hats off to Marnux for a great first map. I loved Tunxdorf in FS15 as it reminded me of the Fen country of East Anglia, and this map has similar vibes.
