Position of those sensors ? To clean, ford escape 2013 2.0 TDCI DIESEL Camshaft sensor ? O2 sensor ? FAP sensor ? Thinks.

I just cleaned it and it's these sensors. The temperature one was very, very dirty. It was like it was covered in jelly. My question is: the hole where I took it out was just as dirty, almost closed, but I didn't intervene at all. Is there any way to get rid of that mess?
@WhatTube Жыл бұрын
Hi, you can remove the part from the throttle body to the inlet manifold and clean it, it's actually not that difficult.

I have a 2013 2.0TDI C-Max which has this engine. The engine malfunction service light comes on when RPMs go over 2K. Ford have diagnosed it as the either the MAF and/or the MAP sensor. Since they wanted to charge me another £240 including labour to change the MAF sensor, they have supposedly cleaned both sensors and charge me £200 for labour. The MAP sensor is very cheap to buy and I’ll be changing this myself this weekend. In your video, you do not show if the battery needs disconnecting from the negative terminal when changing the sensor, can you confirm you did this and just didn’t show it and whether the car needed a few cranks whilst the ECU learned that there was a new sensor installed?
@WhatTube Жыл бұрын
Hi, to be 100% safe it's good to remove the negative terminal of the battery before replacing any electrical part. The sensor itself is just "plug and play" so it doesn't need special adaptation procedure and the ecu will recognise the new sensor from the first engine start.

any advice on how to clean the egr valve without having to remove it, on this engine?
@WhatTube3 жыл бұрын
Hi, in this engine the most clogged part is in the pipe that goes from the egr to the inlet near the throttle body, where the hot gasses meet the cold air. It's relatively easy to remove it, has only two screws.

Hello i clean my with electric cleaner. But i dont know if is dry completly. I shake it and lots of dirty came out. Is it will cause a problem if not dry complety. I use abro electric cleaner?
@WhatTube3 жыл бұрын
Hi, it's better to dry it, but even if it's not, it's going to dry very quickly when you start the engine.

Hello, was there a noticeable performance increase after cleaning?

Hi, there wasn't any performance increase but the acceleration was more linear.

Hello , I have a 2014 2.0 TDCI , titanium,PSA engine, Only has 64k miles. Done 10k faultless miles , then other night after 10miles lost power on the motorway at -7 , I was freezing. After 90 mins , the AA chap pulled up , jumped in the car, started it and all good until I stepped in car park, it would start but revving erratic and then stall. Left car for two days , started and drove home without problem. Ive now lost faith in reliability , travel 60miles to work. Anyone have any ideas to fix ? No mechanical work done apart from changing battery in last 2k miles , car is well serviced. Thanks

Hi, do you have any error codes stored?
@peterr1716 Жыл бұрын
@@WhatTube none at all !
@WhatTube Жыл бұрын
@peterr1716 If there isn't any error code, then it's very difficult to guess the problem. Check the fuel filter, it can have a bit of water inside, which in the cold can freeze and restrict the fuel flow. Check all the negative connections to the chassis as well. I'm really sorry but in this kind of situation it's very hard to know the problem, you need to have the car in front of you, so you can do some tests.
@peterr1716 Жыл бұрын
@@WhatTube Thanks , I changed the fuel filter a few ago and run faultless since. The only thing I have changed is the battery , that's all fastened in well but the air box had to come out. I have a basic code scanner.

That’s an air intake sensor thd maf will be attached to the air box

Hi, yes, this is not a MAF sensor, but it's a MAP sensor.

I drive a Citroen C5 103kw 2.0hdi produced in 2010 and I am very satisfied. Lately, it happens to me that in the second or third gear, when accelerating, at some 1700 rpm, the car jerks and continues to accelerate normally. Does anyone have any idea what it might be?

Disconnect the Maf sensor(not MAP) , located on the air intake, try running the car without it,
