I actually had about twice the amount of maps drops you did Fuzzy, but I realized that is because I took Singular Focus. I kept Singular Focus until I was swimming in tons of maps and then I dropped it so that I would get more T17s. So doing this is recommended to those who are still struggling getting map drops. You can always take it and then drop it later.

I dont know why, but i still cant sustain my favoured maps. I NEVER hat that problem in last leagues, i always overstustained so much that i could sell my favoured maps. Not possible this league. I run your tree, have 4 voidstones and 11/12 favoured map slots but no chance. Something must be off. Maybe something is bugged?

Trying to sustain only one map is a lot harder this league due to the changes in the qty and rarity from monsters. That is why I ping pong between 2 maps as connected maps are more likely to drop so once I get 10 of my second favourite I run those maps with my map sustain atlas tree which stocks me up on my favoured map

Hey FDG, thanks for the vid. Just looking to build up my map pool for a bit of farming. Haven't had any problems with getting maps over the last few leagues but does feel like I'll need to dedicate a tree to map sustain - which is perfectly fine and possibly an intended use. Just checking, aside from the Carto scarab test at the end, were you using any scarabs/map device or is it alch and go? I also tried the Carto scarabs before seeing your vid, had decent results but damn it was expensive. Almost feel like I should've just bought the maps instead.

I just used chisels and then alch and go. I did not use anything on the map device

Great video! Can you explain 5:08 ‘that won’t happen with sigular focus unless those maps are city square and toxic sewers’? How does singular focus work on those two maps? They are not converted to points or?

If you pick singular focus your favourite maps are the only ones that drop even the ones that would be converted, so you will still convert your favourites but not other maps so you end up with less map equity

What about sustaining e.g. Tier 6 for farming essences? Should you use singular focus then?

Yes you can do I’m not sure what sustain is like in T6 as never tried it

@@FuzzyDuckzy I can't sustain em! I run T7 Racecourse, got 130 Atlas points, all fav slots and all Void Stones (ofc not in my atlas to let Racecourse be T7). I got Singular Focus and i favoured all Racecourse but one Defiled Cathedral. Maybe because i run them white? With Calcification scarab, they slap pretty hard....

@@schrubbel if you still stuggle, alch your map and remove some map drop nodes. I never run singular focus but I found last league that it was easier to sustain maps for essence strat (t6 promenade + t7 courthouse) using very little map drop nodes on the atlas tree. And using some allflames, it was pretty fun seeing t7 essence mobs being tankier than back to basics t17 map bosses ...

can you make me a tree? i cant find or make one i am happy with. i want as many maps as i can get and i want as much boss key/fragments possible from each map...i like to just map and kill for loot to sell i dont like league stuff to much...

You could just do this map tree and drop the exarch altars for the maven destructive play nodes. Drop some scarab nodes or shrine nodes to take the boss map nodes around the top of the tree. It does mean you will need to run 10 different maps each rotation. It should drop you a ton of boss maps

It is a lot of fun but lacks single target for ubers so definitely not on par with Lightning Strike. Clear is pretty nuts though especially vaal smite

Singular Focus does not replace Tier 17 maps with currency, though the replacement of T16 maps can result in finding fewer T17s overall. This Text comes from the Wiki.

I know I didn't say it did, but it removes your T16s which results in less T17 maps dropping.
