I definitely get where you’re and many others are coming from. However, I think it’s such a huge part of the process to learn how to work with assets. There’s no better way to learn than to do. I highly recommend practicing photoshop, which will make you so much better in the long run! I do think it might be worth it for me to do a photoshop tutorial on that exact topic tho!

Great question! I usually do all my sound designing in the end. So once the animation is finished I'll add sound effects in Davinci Resolve.

Do you do something to keep the render times down in AE and allow you to have faster playback times? I'm seeing a lot of +100ms render times on most of my layers. Thanks for the videos, I'm a big fan, and they've helped us tremendously!

Reduce ram preview quality, clear cache, turn certain effects off that aren’t necessary, and only playing back small regions

As with most stylistic plugins it all comes down to how much you use it. If there are some effects you use in most projects then you're probably making that money back through efficiency. I usually break it down into how much I use it and how much time I'm saving in not having to do it manually + the faster render times.

Thank you! I use it because I like the look. Gives it some character. The reason for using 6 and 12 is because my base framerate is 24. Ideally you want to use values that are either 1/2 or 1/4 of your actual framerate. This will give you the best results.

Amazing tutorial! BTW, how do you do your cursor animation? Do you collect a data from cursor movement, then convert that into a keyframes on after with some easying? Cuz sometimes it looks a bit off.

I appreciate that! I use an app called “Screen Studio”. It records the mouse data and then adds it in post. I have noticed the mouse thing but it makes the punch ins a lot easier to do. Hopefully it’s something that’ll be fixed in future updates

Great!!! An other way to control the camera could be in your main Sequence, with "collapse transformations" to keep the depth in your comps and animate the camera over the transition points. For me this is simpler, as I only have to animate one camera and get my flow easier...
